Play through seven songs in their entirety, one from each decade('50s, '60s, '70s, '80s, '90s, '00s, '10s). You can view the year of the song by highlighting it before selection.

Most likely, you will need to download a couple from the Rock Band Music Store. You can search by decade there. If you've exported at least one of the main games then you will have at least one song in each decade except for the 1950s.

    1950-1959 songs:
Six Johnny Cash songs are available on DLC. Sadly that's it.

    1960-1969 songs:
A good few songs from DLC containing The Experience, Creedence and Otis Redding.
However "Gimme Shelter" from Rock Band, "Pinball Wizard" and "Sprit In the Sky" from Rock Band 2, "Fire" and "I Want You Back" from LEGO Rock Band, and several from Rock Band 3 are fine.

    1970-1979 songs:
A couple hundred songs available...you will likely have one. The majority of songs by Queen, Rush and The Who fit here.

    1980-1989 songs:
At least three hundred songs available. Queen, Rush and The Who all appear again, along with many Heavy Metal and a few Alternative Bands. You will generally have one available.

    1990-1999 songs:
Shouldn't be too hard to find. Late-Grunge, Alternative, Metal and Pop appear here.

    2000-2009 songs:
You will have at least one song here.

    2010-2019 songs:
From Rock Band Blitz: "These Days", "We Are Young", "Moves Like Jagger" and "Raise Your Glass" fit.

Hampshire VeganSame here, bought Ooby Dooby in the sale thinking it would work. PLEASE add this to the guide to save any future players from this mistake.

sonicfreak1986I think this achievement is officially unobtainable since they shut down the RB music store!

Groudon199Nothing was shut down. The entire marketplace (not just Rock Band) is glitched at the moment. A lot of things aren't showing up.

You probably already have enough songs for this, but the most limited decade for this acv is the 1950's, to date only 6 songs count for it (all by Johnny Cash):

    Cry, Cry, Cry
Don't Bring Your Guns to Town
    I Walk the Line
    I Got Stripes
    Folsom Prison Blues
    Five Feet High and Rising

Although there are songs by Roy Orbison and one by Jerry Lee Lewis that were originally from the 50's, the game doesn't count them for the acv because it goes by the release date of the album tracks they used, not the original release date. (So before you ask, Ooby Dooby is treated as 80's, and Great Balls of Fire is treated as 00's.) As of now (4/28/13) these 6 songs are the only one that count as being from the 1950's for this achievement.

The rest of the decades are easy, and you probably already have them covered. If you exported any one of: Rock Band 1, Rock Band 2, or Lego Rock Band, you already have every decade covered except the 1950's, so get at least one Johnny Cash song (one of these 6, the others of his are all from the 60's) and you're set.

Draygon ukI fell for the exact same thing..Bought Roy Orbison because it was cheaper and then found out it dosen't count!!

musiquexcoeurI did the same as the other two commenters. I was going to download a Johnny Cash song, but saw the Roy Orbison song was half the price. Now I know why; RBB is probably expecting people to buy it and then have to buy a JC song anyway. Ugh.

KinectKid333Man... I got this achievement before I became a completionist, now the stupid game thinks I have the DLC and its not showing up as complete. And I am not spending 10,000+ Microsoft Points on 300 songs just so I can complete a game.

    I hate myself sometimes

Just a heads up more than anything, if youre going for this achievement now you might notice in the sale there is a song called ooby dooby by roy orbison on sale, it says its from 1956, which it is, but after buying it the year on the song changed to 1986 meaning I didnt get the achievement.

So id avoid buying that song for this achievement
