First you need to Build the Small House, then finish the Main Hall. For the Architect Achievement you need then to build three wings at your house. You can chose Armory, Kitchen, Library, Alchemy, Storage, Trophy Room or a Greenroom.

For a complete house (Small House + Mail Hall + 3x Wings) you ~ need
    158x Quarried Stone
    129x Sawn Log
48x Iron Ingot (181x Nails, 16x Hinge, 11x Iron Fittings and 11x Lock)
    26x Clay
    11x Corundum Ingot (11x Lock)

You can mine Quarried Stone, Sawn Log and Clay around your house. Also your Steward sells that. Sawn Log can be also bought from a Mill. For Corundum and Iron Ingot just visit a Blacksmith, wait 48h and buy again.

    Happy Building :D

WeisGuy9 All of your houses should have a stone "mine" in close proximity to the house. You'll need a pick ax to get it. Just search the rocks and stone walls near your home for a lighter colored area of stone that you can interact with.

Mobius Evalon The most useful part of this guide is the quantities of things you need to build the house. It does vary depending on what exactly you build (I needed 6 extra hinges) but knowing the ballpark means you can collect materials beforehand so you don't have to fast travel back and forth a thousand times.

Each plot of land includes 30 quarried stone, 20 logs, 6 iron ingots, 30 clay, and 1 corundum ingot. That leaves the player with buying 138 logs, 42 iron ingots, and 10 corundum ingots. You also need 128 quarried stone, but these you can get for free on the plot if you let your character sit there and mine for about 2 minutes.

It costs 2600 Septims to buy all the missing materials you'll need and it's 5000 Septims to buy the land, so it costs 7600 Septims per house. This means the achievement should cost you about 22,800 Septims.
