The first area that you can earn this is during the side quest "Out of Body Experience". Once you return to the bloodshot stronghold for a second time, either through another side quest or through exploration, you will come across a bot being beating on your path. Kill the bot and the enemies beating on it, then collect the A.I Core that drops. From here it will then give you the side quest mentioned above.
All you have to do from here on out is follow the makers to the construction bot. At first the construction bot will spit out a few minions to attack you, but once they're destroyed, the construction bot shouldn't produce more.
If you're having difficulty fighting the construction bot you can use the same method as the video below. There is a gap between to storage containers just at the bottom of the stairs where you can buy ammo. You can shoot the bot through the gap in the containers to make this a lot easier if going solo and at a lower level.
You will run into several more of these on your travels, but this is the first one that you can do early.
