I think some Screenshots help more then Videos, so here are a few. To get the Coureur des Bois Achievement you need to find three Shops in New York, Bosten and the Frontier. In every of the nine Shops you need to sell one undamaged pelt. The Shops are maybe not displayed on your map, look out for Houses with "General Store" Shields and white-glow-something-interact-markers near the Door (see 1st Screenshot)

To get undamaged pelts you have to kill animals with the hidden blade and skin them

Izayoi MasterI am already on sequence 9 and forgot to do these in Boston, can I still get the achievement if I re-play a sequence in Boston?

InfomaniaxI've been to all of these and sold an undamaged pelt at every one. But the achievement will not ping. I've noticed that on the map they are all showing as NOT visited. Is this something anyone else is experiencing?

Edit: I've manged it, you need to sell pelts of mall animals... Not hides of the larger adhesive animals

In order to obtain this achievement you will need to sell Undamaged Pelts to all the General Store Merchants. This is quite easy to do, once you unlock New York of course.

There are 9 General Stores Total. 3 to each area. You'll notice a pound symbol on the map if you have discovered it already. Sometimes the game will recognize it without you having to enter, other times I had to walk in the place before it appeared on my map. Look for a building with red trim reading "General Store" and 2 flags hanging from it.

The 3 in the Boston Area are Hancock's Store No. 5, Elizabeth Murray's Fineries, and Child's Still House and Dry Goods. These are spread through each District.

The 3 in the New York Area are Rhinelander's Sugars, De Lancey's Imports & Goods, and Van Brugh's Spices. These are also spread out in all the districts, with one way on the bottom of the East District and the other right on the border of the North and East District.

The 3 in the Frontier Area are The Walking Haberdashery, The Milliner's Wares, and the Murdoch's Barter.

Now with the Frontier being so big and hard to uncover in the map, I will lay out in which part of the Frontier they are located in the hunting section of the map.

The First store is in the Northern Center of Lexington. The Second is Northern West side of Concord. And the third and final store is Mid East side of Monmouth.

Good luck and happy hunting. If you feel this is inadequate in anyway, please comment before you down vote please.

NeoSm0kethe caravans are NOT counted towards the 3 shops in each town. :) just wanted to add that because i've seen people saying it did not unlock, just as mine... until i realised that i traded with caravans.

This is my own guide I made recently for this achievement.

There are 9 total General Stores. There are 3 in each area: Frontier, New York, and Boston. Go to your map - scroll down to shops and the General icons will show up. I also show you the locations in the video.

To obtain undamaged pelts, you will need to kill animals with your Hidden Blade. Do not use a Gun or Bow or it will damage the pelt. Sell 9 pelts, 1 to each store.

carrbendioxideUsing arrows DOES NOT damage the pelts. I can confirm this and that rabbits shot with arrows work fine. The best way to obtain the pelts are to go to an area with a lot of hares (beaches along the frontier were easiest for me) and just shoot them with your bow. Once you skin them, you get your arrow back.

SmokeScreen76Thank you for the zoom-ins on the Frontier stores. They weren't showing up on my map either.
