Servers are back up! Don't know for how long, so get this while you can.

    *** Spoiler - click to reveal ***

People aren't doing a very good job explaining what this achievement is really about or how to track it.

If you want to know what this achievement is all about, read the "Achievement Background" section below. If you just want to know how to get it, jump down to "Achievement Solution" below.

    Achievement Background

To understand what you are going for to get a hacked video in the story quest, first load up the multiplayer disc and under the Abstergo emblem at the top of the screen (hit RB three times) you will see an option called “The Abstergo Story” (fourth one down). Click this.

On the Abstergo Story Screen you will see a DNA bar along the top with icons plus a lot of icons floating around elsewhere. These icons consist of a top square and sometimes a bottom square with an image. Move your cursor over these to see what you can unlock. The unlocks include things such as videos, hacks, maps, emails etc.

Those that have an image in the top square along with a blurred out image of the same in the bottom square are the ones that you want to focus on unlocking. The top square is a video with an unlock condition such as “Reach Level 1”. The bottom square is the hacked version of said video, with additional requirements. Those requirements are underneath in the blue challenge icons. Hover your cursor over these to see what you need to do to unlock the hacked video.

Other solutions tell you to focus on the first video ABSTERGO DEV DIARY 1_Hack between the level 1 and 2 indicators on the DNA progress bar. This says:
    • Top video unlock condition: Reach Level 1
    • Bottom (hacked) video unlock conditions:
o Challenge “The Enduring” – Earn a Multi-Kill Bonus in any team mode or Wolfpack (progression x/25)
o Challenge “The Bird of Prey” – Earn an Aerial Kill Bonus (progression: x/20)

ALTERNATIVE: I suggest going for the video CLEAN FUTURE and the hack CLEAN FUTURE_Hack that is listed between levels 10 and 11 on the DNA progress bar. This says:
    • Top video unlock condition: Reach Level 10
    • Bottom (hacked) video unlock conditions:
o Challenge “The Conquistador” – Capture a zone occupied with at least 2 opponents in domination (x/5)
o Challenge “The Silent Master” – Earn a focus bonus (x/5)

There are a few reasons for this:
    1. Playing Team Objective - Domination (Custom Match - NOT private! Minimum 4 players to boost, 8 to lock down lobby) will get you a lot of points and is fun!
    2. Earning level 10 is quite easy, and you will get that going for Abstergo Entertainment:
Assassin's Creed IIIAbstergo EntertainmentThe Abstergo Entertainment achievement in Assassin's Creed III worth 32 pointsReach level 20 in the multiplayer mode.

    3. Capture a zone occupied with at least 2 opponents (The Conquistador) is easy (if you struggle with this, just hop in a hay bale in the contested zone while everyone else battles it out around you, while you capture the zone). You should get this before getting level 10 anyway, plus you will get this achievement along the way:
Assassin's Creed IIIWinning TeamThe Winning Team achievement in Assassin's Creed III worth 48 pointsBe on the winning team at the end of a multiplayer game session.

    4. Focus kills are easy as well and you can get those when playing Wolfpack mode while going for this achievement (thanks to Chameleon1977 for pointing this out):
Assassin's Creed IIIHunter/KillerThe Hunter/Killer achievement in Assassin's Creed III worth 53 pointsReach sequence 10 in a map on Wolfpack multiplayer mode.

    5. All challenges earned before you reach the required level still count towards unlocking this achievement (so you don’t have to wait until level 10 to get your focus kills for example)
    6. Enjoy the game and stop wasting time going for Aerial and Multi-Kills that will take you longer to get than just getting to level 10!

    Additional Notes

    1. The HERNE+_Hack video on the bottom left of the Abstergo Story screen does NOT count for this achievement
    2. Do not go for hacks that have an Abstergo symbol in the top picture as those are not videos. Those are emails or other things that don’t count – you need to go for hacks where the bottom image is a blurred out version of the top
    3. Check what videos qualify in the “Storyline” option under “Progression” (first option on the top navigation bar of the multiplayer screen). Choose “Videos” and you will see that the following hacks earn this achievement:
    a. ABSTERGO DEV DIARY 1_Hack
    b. CLEAN FUTURE_Hack
    c. ABSTERGO DEV DIARY 2_Hack
    d. ANGELUS_Hack
    e. ANIMUS OS_Hack
    f. ABSTERGO DEV DIARY 3_Hack

Please let me know if you have any questions or updates to this solution. I’ve provided every detail I possibly could but please let me know if I missed anything.

If you give me a negative, please do the right thing and let me know why. I've spent considerable time to provide you with a professional (i.e., organized, no grammar or spelling mistakes) solution. I'm sorry if there is no glitch or other quick fix way of getting this, and that my solution is long. It will take some work to get this, but I wanted you to have all the information you need to understand this achievement, what works, what doesn't, and how to track it. I appreciate your candid feedback.

There are 6 different hacked videos you can unlock. The 'normal' ones are unlocked by increasing your level online, but for the 'hacked' videos you will need to complete STEP 1 of some challenges.

I unlocked my achievement while going for the ABSTERGO DEV DIARY 1_Hack since there are no level requirements (I would lie, level 1 is required) and I did my challenges while playing Wolfpack. The targets hardly move and are really close to each other. There are only 2 requirements to unlock this hacked video: Getting the bonus Multi-Kill 25 times and getting the bonus Aerial Kill 20 times.
What I tried to do in-game was getting an Aerial Kill and quickly kill one of the others which would give me a Multi-Kill. This took me about an hour in a co-op session with 3 other people.

The achievement pops in-game when you got your last aerial kill or multi-kill. You don't need to watch the video for your achievement to pop.

    Happy hunting!
If you downvote, let me know why so I can improve this solution.

    Edit 1:
Credit to z 4assed monkey for making a note of my grammar mistakes.

    Edit 2:
Almost forgot to mention that you can boost your aerial kills in a private Wolfpack match alone. when doing so, you won't have to bother with randoms stealing your kills and taking all the time you need. (Thank to Tao Logos for mentioning).

    Edit 3:
Wyndo has shared the following: "You can get multi-kills in private wolf pack sessions alone, also. It just takes quite a while to do. In sequence 8, there's a scenario built around the multi-kill, so if you're careful, don't alert them, and (possibly -- not sure, but it seemed harder to get when playing with other kinds of characters) are playing as a character with blades, you can get it. You can reach sequence 8 quickly by going for the optional objectives and not rushing the targets. Then, in the following sequences where more enemies are available, it's possible to get. I'm getting about 1 to 3 per solo match, and should have this unlocked in just a bit." Please note that I am aware of the fact you can do this solo, but it's far more easier to get it done with friends/randoms

    Edit 4:
Again, StealthShot1906 mentioned a great thing: "Great guide, but I'd like to add that I found it easiest to get the Aerial Kills while playing Wolfpack on the Boston North End map (with most of the map being buildings and streets). I was able to get between 5 and 7 kills before I would run out of time." I always played this map so I'm not sure why I didn't add it in, but Boston North End is highly recommended!

    Buzz Astral PLGreat solution. Thanks!

EthigyWith one extra person (a second Xbox in my case), you can easily get the multi-kills done in Wolfpack. Because there were two players, the game always spawned two targets right next to each other. Was able to get 4-5 double kills each match before the time ran out.

For easy and early access to this achievement, I recommend attempt the two challenges for ABSTERGO DEV DIARY 1_Hack.

    These are:

    * 25 Multi-kills
    * 20 Aerial Kills

    How to do it:

Both these challenges are easier to complete in the Cooperative Wolfpack mode. If you have no one to play with, search for public matches.

    For Multi-Kills:

Keep an eye on the multi-kill counter at the top right of your screen, watch your team-mates movements, and when they strike do the same. Because in Wolfpack all enemies spawn together, achieving multi-kills is relatively easy. Its possible to get triple and quadruple multi-kills too. In 5 - 10 games you should have completed the challenge.

    For Aerial Kills:

Wolfpack is the better mode to do this because enemy AI is less intelligent than other players ( Well, you would hope so :P) and running around on rooftops isn't going to get you spotted as easy as in competitive multi-player. I averaged about 3-4 aerial kills per game, 5 or 6 games and you should be done.

NOTE: Aerial kills are different from Acrobatic kills. Standing on wooden beams, tightropes or anything that causes you to crouch, counts as an acrobatic kill, this is the same for climbing up a wall then halfway up leaping down on your target.

    Good luck guys!

Sketchy77From a roof higher place than your enemy, press X when targeting them to air assassinate.

You can't do it on ropes or hanging off ledges though.

eHeadachesi do not for the liking of me understand why all the solutions make out this is so complicated. as this solution says, get 25 multi kills, and 20 aerial kills.

    achievement unlocked.

    Simple.

    solution perfection. +1

Hexa FoxYeah I agree with eHeadaches. The other guides over complicate this a lot. I already had all of my multi-kills and thirteen of my aerial kills when I came here and read this.
