Rhino Van Dam has a good solution here, but I just unlocked this achievement and I'd like to add some advice.

First, you can use a couple of gadgets to make your life easier. I used the Turbo Boost and Dezapinator gadgets - the final two in the gadget stash. Turbo Boost causes boost rings to appear every now and then while you're playing. When you hit a boost ring, all the obstacles for a couple hundred meters are destroyed. This can save you a lot of trouble towards the end of 5000m. The Dezapinator causes the yellow zapper links to randomly fail about 10% of the time. This can also save you in case you can't maneuver out of the way in time.

Second, try and make sure to hit every single vehicle token you come across. They effectively reset the difficulty for a few hundred meters and give you an extra hit before you die.

I don't recommend using the Head Start items. When I used them I often found the change of pace when they wear off is jarring and caused me to die very quickly. I found it much easier to start at 0 and take my time.

Last advice echoes what Rhino said. Try and catch spin tokens, if possible. With luck you'll spin a revive or blast. Bring a Revive and Final Blast and use them only if you get pretty close to 4000m or so.

Good luck - this one is pretty tough!

    C JittersI recommend using a mouse ;)
It react better and faster than the usual mouse pad.

SaltyTONGot it with nothing equipped bar the Lucky Last... got to near the end and got a Large Blast with my last spin to get me over the 5km line.

I did it using the mouse as well... got it before I've got the damn dog achievement!

DRedWingsDJYThumbs up to Boingoing and SaltyTON. I had a run stop at 4950m. Plugged in the mouse and got ~5100 a couple runs later.

The others solutions are great, but I advise you to buy as soon as possible the Final Blast item and the Revive item.
This way, while going for the others achievements if you come close to 5kms you'll already have these useful items.

Just don't say "Ok I'll try this one later I don't feel ready for it". Instead, buy the two items because if you come to 4.5km or something like that and you die at this point, you'll go mad if you don't have the precious items that would bring you easily to the 5km.

for the rest, read the others solutions

Vr EnglishSo true, I would perhaps don't even think too hard about getting it if you've only got one of them.

Also, unlike the other solution, would massively recommend the air boots as one of your gadgets from the start, gives you a big, predictable jump off the floor thats useful for dodging the low zappers, quickly and easily.

The best chance to get this other than awesome skills is a little bit of luck.

I used a super head start which is about 1500kms, I also equipped a revive and a final blast.

Between the 1500-5000 is up to skill and luck, try and get as many tokens as you can but do not risk dying for them if they are in a tight area.

If you die hit revive if you have a way to go, or if you are pretty close to getting to 5000 then use your final blast then revive just as you slow down. If you have any tokens on your second death then by luck you'll get a small/big/atomic blast to get you that last few kms.

It will take a few tries just don't give up and if you find yourself getting frustrated take a break and come back.

    Good luck!

rocking23nfFinally got this, I used the blue ring booster, and the dezapper, I found I only did good when I had the dragon as my vehicle, on my winning run, I went from 1000m to 6500 with the dragon without getting hit, I had 10 tokens when I got zapped, and didn't bother spinning them since im done with the game.

MuscularTeaThat's exactly what happened for me. The dragon is by far the best ride.

QuarantaneI just have the Android version so the achievements don't count for gs for me, but when i got this i was using the gravity belt, and the jump boost shoes. One piece of advice, when you're getting towards the 3k to 5k mark you should stick to the top 2/3Rds of the screen, and definitely try to stay off the ground if you don't have the shoes cause you won't be able to get up quick enough to avoid the low zappers
