This is pretty straight forward. The bitmap up top shows your path and where the enemies are. The key to making this easy that I didn't figure out until level 3 is you can use the Right Stick to switch around the view. Now all this ends up being is a shoot and dodge deal.
There are even pick ups that will give you 100% health so there isn't a whole lot to worry about. Just don't let them shoot you or run into the bullets and this will be yours easily.
