Considering the requirements of the other achievements in this game, it is not likely that you will pass 5, 15, and 30 hours of play time while working towards the other achievements. However, grinding out this achievement is fairly easy.

Setup your computer's power setting so that it doesn't go to Sleep or Hibernate during period of inactivity. Disable the screen saver as well.

Once your computer is ready, load up any level and walk away. Make sure that no menus are up and you are just waiting to shoot the birds. When you come back, shoot the birds to end the level and whether you pass or fail the time will be added to your total. If you have passed 5, 15, or 30 hours while you are away, the achievement will unlock after completion of the level you left running.

One additional thing to note is that you can play on a Windows Phone or on your Xbox at the same time that you are working on this.

This strategy works for the following achievements as well:
Angry Birds Star Wars (Windows)True Star Bird FanThe True Star Bird Fan achievement in Angry Birds Star Wars (Windows) worth 21 pointsAngry Birds Star Wars played for 15 hours

Angry Birds Star Wars (Windows)Star Bird AddictThe Star Bird Addict achievement in Angry Birds Star Wars (Windows) worth 24 pointsAngry Birds Star Wars played for 30 hours

MaxolhxThis trick does not work in the Windows 8 version of the game. The game goes into a pause menu after 20 minutes of user inactivity.

SolrayI have left the game running for 12 hours at a time with no issues. You need to make sure that all your power, screensaver, sleep, and hibernation settings are disabled so the game doesn't pause.

petranatYeah, I have all of my settings set so that the power, screensaver, sleep and hibernation settings are disabled and my game will still pause itself after ~20 minutes of user inactivity. I'm on a Windows 8.1. Any suggestions for what I might have missed?
