  As soon as you unlock Gollum either go to a previous chapter in free play mode or keep playing until you unlock free play for the world. In free play simply set both characters to Gollum. To do this hold to bring up the character wheel and if Gollum is not selectable in the wheel pick the bottom center selection in the wheel to bring up the full list of characters. Obviously make sure all health related extras are turned off, and then just punch the second Gollum 4 or 5 times to destroy him. Achievement should pop once the second Gollum is destroyed.

  I need a fix. I downloaded this game btw. The game wont let me double up characters. Any clue as to a setting or way around that?

  Got it! I had to pull up both character choices before confirming either. Then had to confirm 2nd controller's first and my profiles afterwards

  This is my own guide that I made recently for this achievement.
  
  You will unlock Gollum as a character after finishing the 12th mission: Osgiliath. Once you do, you can do the achievement in free roam or during a mission, it doesn't matter (in my video I did it during a mission). Turn your character into Gollum using the character wheel, then switch to the other character and change him into Gollum too. Simply defeat the other character and the achievement is yours!

  You've just duplicated the solution which already exists and then patronised everybody by urging people to watch a video for what is a very simple solution. Trying to get some views?

  How have I duplicated the other solution? It's completely different. Of course if there's only one way to obtain an achievement then explaining how to do so is limited. All I have done is provided a video for people to use because some people prefer visual instruction over written. Also, if you disliked the solution, then thumb it down and carry on. There is no need to waste your time and mine by posting a comment that you and everybody else realizes has no purpose.

  Very easy to attain once Gollum has been unlocked. Simply play co-op on free play with both players as Gollum and take it in turns to kill each other. The achievement should then pop. Or you can have fun by trying to kill the other person without taking it in turns, however this tactic can take some time!
