A theoretical explanation:

On level 18, there is a section where you have to drive various vehicles
(In order, a buggy, a swan boat, an ATV, and a hovercraft), and hit BOOST (LT + RT) at specific times. Only the buggy and the ATV have the boost ability though.

UPDATE - I was way off the mark here. Somehow, the idea that you have to "boost" in this level got around. It's TOTALLY WRONG.

Here is the description of the achievement, ONCE UNLOCKED:
"Defeated the final escape in under 4 minutes. (on Thriller or higher)"

I tried timing myself on this, using a stopwatch, on Thriller difficulty. I died and had to start from the checkpoint (when you have to get to the buggy), but clocked just shy of 3 minutes. One theory I have is that once you beat the second boss (in the mech suit) and have to get to the buggy, this is when the timer begins. I can't verify that YET though.

My assumption is that it will unlock once you beat the hovercraft section, right when the final boss fight begins.

But OH! This achievement is time-based, much like the other "glitched" achievement, so there is still a strong possibility that it can't be done anyway. However, it doesn't hurt to exist every possible option, right?

UPDATE II - A friend got a hold of the executable for this game and plowed through the code. According to him, the requirement is NOT to beat it in under 4 minutes, but in an UNGODLY 40 SECONDS. Not glitched, but near impossible to do, methinks. Hell, my RECORD ALONE is about 2 minutes.

So it's in fact NOT GLITCHED. There's just not enough time to pull it off.
