How to unlock the Premium reward 6 achievement

For those of you that can't find a Predator/Best Guy to shoot down anymore and want to do it the old fashioned way, there is an alternate solution.

Many have probably read that you can play with another person in the online arena and shoot down like 10-12 symbol towers, which is correct. So to be clear, two players can build up to Ultimate rank and then create a online player match in the arena and blow up symbol towers from the opposing cpu teams.

What I stumbled across while getting ready for this is it appears that if the host of the match is a greenhorn, it only takes anywhere from 1-3 symbol towers to get your Predator/Best Guy rank.

You'll know you're on the fast track if any plane you shoot down says "you gained a few glory points" and when you destroy your first symbol tower it says "you gained more glory points than you can imagine".

Once you get your new rank, go back to the single player arena, shoot down one plane, (doesn't have to be a boss), land and exit. You're new bigboss will be ready for you you to challenge and unlock you're reward.

DonietscheJolly548 and I will attempt the towers' grind in the next few days. We are both ultimate rank-wise, and I'd like to ask those in the knowing if there's any workaround for having a greenhorn host.

I'm asking because yesterday I tried to do that using a fresh save with another player and my rank carried over: it doesn't surprise me; it's probably linked to the gamertag when one player joins an online match, not to the single savegame)... so no cigar. While my profile for sp was ranked greenhorn, in the mp tab I still showed as ultimate.

Am I missing something or that's it?

Of course, should there be someone willing to host (with a proper greenhorn profile), Jolly and I will be grateful to him/her until the end of times!

NeonBlightWolfExcellent solution here and thanks for posting it; it helped me get the achievement using this method. If I may expand upon my method in arena:

    1. Both players select the F-15E Strike Eagle. This is the jet that has the power and air-to-
ground weaponry you need. Start on different teams, but before you do..
    2. Weapon loadout AGM-65H missile on each of the wing hardpoints (it will be the only AGM
you can select and will provide you with 3 each side, a total of 6 AGMS) and..
GBU-32 on 8 of the belly hardpoints and 1 in the center (total of 9) or your favorite bomb
in the belly if you wish (my buddy preferred the 2,000 pound GBU-31)
    3. Take off at full throttle (you will have to in order to make it off the ground) and keep it that
way. You are in one heavy bird now. Angle toward a CPU-controlled symbol tower marked
by a colored "S" on the left hand map and climb at 20-25 degrees to maximize your
speed/altitude. Get up to 30,000 - 40,000 feet to avoid ship-to-air missiles from each
enemy base's fleet. Should you be targeted and a missile fired, alter course sharply to 10
or 2 o clock or more, dive away from it and you should be too high and far away for it to
come close. The player going for Best Guy/Predator/Top Gun (yes that last one counts too)
should be prepared all the same to dive into the ocean if he is the one getting locked up
to avoid being shot down and losing rank. The Greenhorn player(host) can be shot down.
    4. At 30,000-40,000 feet you can fly right over enemy ships and enemy jets won't harass you.
I watched two CPU MIG's fly right by me on my way over and pay no attention while we
were figuring all this out. Dive down toward the enemy symbol tower when you get close
and when you get below 15,000 feet line up the target circle of your GBUs on the target
and fire them ALL. Then switch to your AGMs and fire them all at the symbol tower as
well. Peel off and witness how much damage you did to the base's health bar, then tip
over and crash land into the water. This will reset you at your base and you won't lose
    points!
    5. Repeat this until the symbol tower is destroyed for each enemy faction, saving your
Greenhorn host buddy's team for last. Meanwhile the Greenhorn can be attacking the
CPU base you didn't go for in the beginning and 'softening' it up for you to deliver the final
strike. Only the person delivering the final damage to the symbol tower gets the "More
Glory Points than I Can Possibly Imagine". For us from Ultimate this took 4 symbol towers
each before I got "Best Guy" and he got "Top Gun" rank.

    Hope this helps!!

Find a player with the rank of "Best Guy" or "Predator".
Be sure that you got the rank of "Ultimate" or "Ace".
(easily obtained in the SP arena were you unlock all the other planes)

If you found the player with the rank listed above, go in multi-player dog-fight with this person en shoot him down... preferably, make sure he lets you shoot him down ;-)

If you do this two or three times, depending on your own rank at the start, you will unlock the rank of "Best Guy" or "Predator".
You can also try to obtain it by playing multi-player arena and destroying the symbol towers, but be warned that this is a very long and tyresome process...

Epsilon ThetaHey. I had the rank a while ago but as I am sure you have noticed, the rank decreases when not online for a certain period. Since I have not been online for about 3 years I am sure I am no longer Best Guy! ^^ In addition I no longer own the game!

Patmaster1891How can you get the rank "Best Guy" or "Predator"? Has it something to do with kills or trueskill?
    Posted by Patmaster1891 on 06 Sep 10 at 10:42
    MannieHunterThere are 2 ways.
First you can get "glory" points by destroing the symbol towers online, this will take months of grinding.
Second you can get "glory" points by shooting someone down in a online head to head match.
(as is stated above in my solution)

OLOT's solution does work but only if you have met certain conditions beforehand.

The conditions are: you have already unlocked PR 1 - 5 AND
You have the rank of Predator/Best Guy.

His method for boosting to Predator is successful and super easy. You may wonder how I know this as right now I don't have the achievement. So, to answer that question, I know it works because I helped a friend, Moose of Woe, get the achievement last night and it took about 5 minutes for him to get his rank up to Predator from Ultimate (I was the host and had a rank of Greenhorn).

A couple things I should note here are that you must play the game regularly to keep the rank of Predator. Supposedly, if you haven't played in the last 12 hours your ranking will get downgraded back to Ultimate. What this means is that you will want to make sure you have all necessary conditions met (i.e., you have unlocked PRs 1 through 5) before you attempt to get the Predator rank so that you can go for this achievement right away.

Also, (according to Moose of Woe) crashing into the water will not affect your rank, but crash landing on the tarmac &/or getting shot out of the sky will. So, if either of those"bad" things happen, dashboard it so that the game doesn't have a chance to save your file.

From what Moose of Woe said, the hardest part about all of this is finding the planes you have to shoot down for PRs 1-5. He added though that they seem to appear quicker if you have a higher rank. Here is a great guide from the xbox.com forum's that will provide you all you need to know about playing this game as it is meant to be played: http://forums.xbox.com/6021443/ShowPost.aspx (LINK is DEAD unfortunately - kept as a reference...but this is also a good guide to the game: http://faqs.ign.com/articles/717/717399p1.html). This game is not easy by any means and OLOT's method is about the only shortcut there is.

Finally, after you have you have met all of the conditions to get PR6, select Big Boss mode to shoot down the required Big Boss. If you have gotten this far, you don't really need my help anymore though:).
    Showing both comments.
OLOTNice addition! The guide for PremiumRewards 1-5 works great, but I think this could help for that as well. The biggest pain for PR1-5 is all the planes you have to shoot down for the big boss to show up. The higher your rank, the quicker they show up. I don't know how long it would take using my method to go from "greenhorn" to "predator", but I'm guessing it wouldn't take that long.

For the sake of example, it took over an hour on average for PR 1-5. That's over 5 hours. If it takes even 2 hours to get to predator using my method, when you go back to single player the big bosses on PR 1-5 will all show up much quicker with your new rank. (some of them right away...)

Anyways, Keep this in mind if you find yourself shooting down SU planes for hours and no big boss showing up...

Patmaster1891You should also note that the game immediately saves your progress after you have been shot down. It's not like in SP that you are asked to save, it saves automatically. If you dashboard out after you crash it might happen that the game starts to save and destroys your game file. Exactly that happened to me after I immediately dashboarded out when I was shot down in Arena. Save yourselves some headache and always have a copy of your file!
