How to unlock the Challenge Master achievement

I just want to preface this by stating I did this on a keyboard with a touchpad (I had to use a mouse for one mission). I have heard from other users that this is much easier to do on a touchscreen so if you've got a Windows tablet or Surface or something else with a touchscreen you might want to try that instead.

With that said, all of the challenges in the first three sets of levels are rather simple if you just keep trying. The first three sets of levels are either identical or very similar to the Windows Phone versions so I would recommend checking out this excellent guide from EYEHUNTER 42 if you are struggling with any of those challenges.

Solution for Challenge Master In Shuffle Party (WP)

Got 3 stars on all those? Great! Now the important bit. There is an entirely extra set of levels in the Windows version and these are some TOUGH challenges. I specifically had a ton of trouble with levels 4-9 and 4-6 so much that wrote up a guide for 4-9 (see below), but I do not have a write up for the other levels. So, if you have any specific questions please let me know and I can give my best suggestion.

The best general suggestion I can give is keep trying to get the power right when moving the puck. Look at how many coins are available and deduce the minimum points you need from getting pucks in the zones. For example, if you only need 20-30 points from the zones don't try to get all the pucks in 15 point zones if it's easier to get all 4 in 10-5 point zones.

Sometimes it's best to just move on and try another challenge if you're not getting anywhere. No use getting frustrated at your game, that won't help at all. Take a breather and come back later.

    4-9 guide

There is a lot of luck with this one. I was doing this with a keyboard and mouse. I tried using my trackpad on my laptop but it wouldn't work quite the same. I did every other challenge without an actual mouse.

The trick is to get the pucks through the two moving bars but not too fast otherwise they just bounce off the walls and off the sides.

I found that the little teleporter seems to have its hitbox such that you can hit it just to the right, so I used this to my advantage. I would wait for the bars to pass as they are moving to the left. You want to try and get the power meter with about 4-5 ticks left. This should get the puck somewhere in the scoring zone. Then try your best to get the pucks to gently nudge each other without blasting them off the board. You want to try and get at least 3 in the zone, but all 4 would be best.

With this method the only coins you get are the 7 in the middle, you won't get the two on the sides. So you get 14 points there, but still need 41 points. I ended up with a 15 and two 10's to give me 49 total.

Last thing: This will take a long time. I tried this level for over 2 hours before I got enough coins to three star and get this achievement. I was also well on my way to the Shop-o-holic achievement.

I only had to play a few more full games of 10 frame bowling to get all the coins needed for this other achievement. You will get tons of coins from all your failures on these challenges.

Tecstar70Yep, 4-9 was the trickiest. Playing on a Surface 2 and used the guide here to flick just as the bars started moving left aiming just to the right of the blue portal. The trick is to get timing and the strength of your shot just right. Keeping at it means you end up getting into a rhythm of movement with your fingers and that for me was the way I got this one. I found the right rhythm and got a couple of 44's before beating 45.

finallife6I did this whole game with a mouse, I felt like my right hand was begging me to cut it off by I digress. It is a lot easier with a touch screen and I wish I did it with one lol

Giincee4-3 is gitched for me. Everytime I want to use the ramp, the puk flys thru the teleporter below it

Ericmax69Like so many others, I too got stuck on 4.9. As I was playing on PC, I found it helped to turn down the mouse pointer speed - that made it easier to get the power right with the mouse. After doing that, I got it in the next dozen tries or so.

AwakeDeadeyeI'm having trouble with the "easy" ones. Seeing everyone talk about 4-6 and 4-9, I started chapter 4 as soon as it unlocked instead of going in order to get them over with. 4-6 took a very long time, what I noticed is that it depends on how you hit the wall before the portal that determines if the first puck ends up near the 15 pt or 5 pt mark. Speed and what area of the wall you hit changes where it ends up, if your first puck ends up in the 5 pt range reset, when your other pucks hit that one their momentum dies. After that you have to switch it up so your other pucks don't knock the 15 pt one out of bounds. You may need two 15 pts pucks though.

I can't help with 4-9, I don't know how but I passed it relatively quickly . I thought I lost because I had a 5 pt puck but as I blankly stared at my screen in mind numbing frustration + boredom it added up.
