This is an guide to show you how to get the achievement "message from the Empress"
This achievement requires you to jump off the Empress statue and assassinate an enemy.

This can be done on the mission "The Surge". When the mission starts off, go up the chain, walk straight until you get to an area where an assassin is tied up. Free him, then take the left door outdoors, look up and you'll see a window, use blink to get up there. Then take the path all the way to a door. Go through the door and kill your target, then go upstairs jump out the window and kill the enemies that have your assassin tied up. When the other enemies recognize that your there, they will run after you. Knock them out with a sleeping dart. Grab one of the unconscious bodies and blink back to the window. Now look up and you will see a ledge that you can blink to. Now just follow the ledge until you see the statue. Blink over to the statue. Throw the body off the statue. An enemy will hear the impact and come running to see what happened. Now just jump off the statue and hit right trigger to perform an air attack. When the enemy dies the achievement will pop up.

o DEEVIUS oYou really don't need to go to all this bother. After you kill Hume, just go out the upstairs window, turn right and you'll see the top of the statue, save, then carefully blink on top of it, there is an Overseer guy already patrolling right below you. Save, wait for the Overseer to be below, and when you jump off you'll get a very easy, long prompt for a drop assassination.

AllgorhythmThumbs up but I did it like @o DEEVIUS o suggested above. No need to overthink this. Just play the game normally until you do the Hume objective. Make a save (I was doing a stealth no-kill run). Head out the upper window, turn right, hop on the statue, & wait for an overseer to path at the foot of the statue. If you've done the Dunwall City Trials, this is a simple jump and you should get it easily on the first try. If you haven't honed your drop assassination skills in Dunwall City Trials, you might need a couple of practice runs. Nevertheless, it's a basic jump drop assassination (cn_A followed by cn_RT at the prompt).

    "Message from the Empress"

You get this in the third mission as you leave Daud's office to free one of your assassins. Turn around and look back at Daud's office and you'll see a large statue on the left.

Blink to the top of the statue. I had Blink level 2, and had no issue getting across.

Save the game unless you mess it up. Took me three attempts.

Now, look down over the statue's nose, and you'll see guys walking around. Wait for one to be *right under* you, now walk off the edge and as soon as you get close to the victim, press RT to do a drop assassination.

destinee ehgcOk I appear to suck royally at this. As you're falling so fast the window of opportunity to hit RT appears to be a lot shorter than in normal drop assassinations. I got it eventually with the help of Bend Time Level 1. Just hit it before you walk off and give yourself that extra bit of time to get it done.

SneakyStabbalotIt does take a little bit of getting used to as you plummet pretty quickly, it took me 3 goes to get it...

Tanelorn82Not sure why, but the achievement wouldn't pop at first, after 3 successful assassinations. It popped, on the first try after I had dealt with Hume.
