How to unlock the High score achievement

I got this on wave 12 which coincedentally was the same game I got the wave 10 achievement on. Of course, getting to wave 12 isn't exactly simple, all I can say is that I did manage to get into the 20s once on my Atari 800, many many moons ago.

I've discovered that it is far easier to dismount the enemy when you are facing the same direction as them, not to mention that the egg goes in a much more gentle arc and you're far more likely to pick up points as you score more for collecting eggs before they hit any of the platforms. Facing off against the enemy just seems to make them flap higher than you rather quickly.

Oh yes, dont hold the control as normal - you need to use your index finger on the A button and not your thumb - it's the only way to tap at warp factor 9 and Joust is an old fashione Daley Thompson's decathlon keyboard masher in this respect.

Cheese TouchIt helps to pick up one of the joysticks used in fighting games. There's about a half dozen of them on the market now. Then you can properly mash the A button.

You call this rhetoric a guide? Basically you are just saying "Good luck, button mash"

No 1 RichyBeing such a difficult achievement I think most people appreciate knowing around what kind of wave you need to survive to, plus a few hints on what not to do like facing off against the riders. I agree it isn' the best guide I've ever written, but it is far from rhetoric.

Ultimately this achievement can have only 1 guide - "Be skilled enough to obtain 1st place" - it's an ancient arcade game. Real skills, real button mashing - there are few opportunities for strategic flapping, it's all about the skills.

With patience and practice I'm sure you'll get good enough to knock this one out as well.

ACDCs TNTI can confirm that you can unlock this via Co-op, but only your individual score counts. So besides having a second player, there isn't any real advantage to unlocking it this way.
