  guys, this should be a lot easier to unlock now, just play through as normal, and using combination kills and not getting shot and going on weapon sprees (basically try to get as many medals possible) should get you gold stars in a fair few missions, you can now buy a score boost using XP earned in game rather than micro transactions. Thanks 343!

  Using the score boost is much simpler than watching videos for how to get gold medals. Also it only takes a minute to get the required 1000 XP by doing the first mission with the hollow and pacifist skulls on. Just melee all the grunts and throw grenades at the elites.
