This solution was written right after the DLC was released, at a time when Ricochet could be played only on "Pit".

Well, the description is pretty straight-forward. I'd recommend throwing the ball to score instead of running it in as the latter is that much more dangerous. You also have to worry about defenders camping the goal area in the second case.

Thanks to WhiteRabbitEXE for pointing this out: Throwing the ball in also prolongs the game, as it is worth only 20 points, as opposed to the 50 for running the ball in to score. So if your teammates should score, you should still be able to try to nab the Achievement.

You ideally want to play aggressively (try controlling one of the power weapons - Rocket Launcher, Needler, Shotgun, Sniper Rifle, Energy Sword) - otherwise, you probably aren't going to get the hat trick! Team coordination could also help: I'm not suggesting a boosting session, but before the match, if you agree to have one person be the scorer, it will be that much easier to get the Achievement.

Edit: It's been an awfully long time since I've played Halo 4, but I think Left Trigger is used to throw the ball, much as is the case in Oddball and Grifball. It is also possible to under-throw it to the goal, so I'd recommend throwing the ball at an arc (grenade-style) to accommodate. Over-throwing is more difficult, as the goal is in an enclosed area. Usually, you get a lucky bounce and roll off the back wall of the goal area, and that results in goal anyway...

Good luck!
