These world boss fights can only be accessed via special sorties (or if you luck out as a hired mercenary and join a special sortie group). It is random which world boss you get.

IMPORTANT!!! Before starting the special sortie, have one of your teammate look at his "previously played with friends list", if some1 new is added to that list, that means your special sortie is vs other humans, cancel the search immediately!!! Re-do until you get a sortie vs the AI, which is how you get the world bosses. If it's not the boss you want, back out quickly and you won't lose your special sortie.

When the world boss starts, you have 3 minutes to choose the correct build for the world boss. I recommend watching these videos first, and save an AC spec for the world boss, and then quickly load them up when the appropriate world boss shows up. You will be short on ammo on most boss fights, so stock up!

This boss flies high up with a shield and shoots radar jamming bullshit at you. He flies to and stop at three different spots. Remember those spots and fire at him from range. If you're too close, he will land and smack you with a sword (20k damage if you have full 4k defense). He only does TE damage (and jammer missiles which you can ignore) so just stock up TE defense. This is a really good fight to have an operator, to yell out where Liv is, and to warn if any teammate is about to get melee-ed.

In this video, the guy SOLOED the boss, circle strafe, jumpy jumpy and kinfolk rifles. IMO, this is the hardest boss fight, but somehow it's solo-able with a skillful player!

The maker of the video lists the AC spec for this boss fight, make sure to watch that.

From MemoriesOfFinal

There is one special boss on each of the 7 different locations on the world map. The location of each boss (for now) always stay the same. Even when they aren't visible on the world map, its still the same location.

So at any given point, since you can't fight your own faction on Special Sorties, you can only fight 5 of the 7 bosses (or 4 of the bosses only if you happen to be on the faction with 3 territories.. usually Sirius Corporation)

From there, if you need to fight a specific world boss, you can then choose to special sortie against a specific faction.. cutting your choices down from 4/5 to 2/3.

You can tell which boss you get by the waiting room screen. They don't label it from what I know but the layout is kind of obvious after the first time you fight the boss.

North America: Hunters, Scavengers, Predators
South America: Spirit of the Motherwill
Europe: LiV
Africa: N-WGIX/v "Black Glint"
Asia: Exusia
Australia: To-605ASD
Middle East: Grey Lotuses

So the ideal thing is two teams on two different factions while hiring each other as mercenaries when going for the bosses. You'll get the achievement in this game as a mercenary where as people weren't as fortunate in AC:V. Only thing a merc can't do in special sortie is be an operator. (or chat.. but thats what party chat is for)

As for the actual bosses, from in-game scans, 1200 is the magic KE number to defend but most bosses also do mostly TE damage.

Don't bring a tank to Motherwill and highly recommend a CWIS for that one.

Autocannons shred most bosses (you'll want the 600 ammo Autocannons), you'll have to adjust for LiV and Spirit of the Motherwill. One or more people need to bring something to shoot Black Glint out of the sky, then Autocannon it quickly too.

Here's how to kill LiV solo w/ Grind Blade

Finding LiV
Start a special sortie. Choose whichever faction is in control of mid-continent as your preferred target. When it finds the sortie, if you see new players in your recent players tab under friends, exit the sortie and try again (you are up against humans). If the map is not Pask Field, exit and try again (you got the wrong region/boss).

AC Specs
L Arm Amagoromo mdl 2
R Arm Amagoromo mdl 2
Shoulder Muratori mdl 2
Ultimate Grind Blade
R Bay N/A
L Bay N/A
Head H02 Scarlet (Linne) [TE]
Core Matsukaze mdl 3 [TE]
Arms AD-228 [TE]
Legs LeT-A-D14 [Tank]
FCS FA-215 [Quick]
Generator GA-210 [Bal]
Boost N/A
Recon Re-X-A07 [Hover]

Enter charge mode (hold Y on XB360) immediately, and start charging (hold RT). She will fly around for a few seconds then charge you and do a lot of damage. Release RT and your grind blade will kill her and you will be left w/about 20% of your health.
