For this, you need to get a 3 star rating in each level in the game in time attack.

Time attack itself is unlocked by completing the main game.

To see your target time, hit X while highlighting the stage you want to play. Times vary greatly from level to level with the shortest being 1:30 and the longest 20:00. The clock will be running while your active skylander is out on the field; it will pause whenever you encounter dialogue, view a cutscence, switch skylanders, or use a shock and bolt puzzle.

One powerup that will help greatly while doing this are the time freeze powerups. Whenever you defeat an enemy or break a destroyable object there is a chance that they will drop one. They look like blue discs with a pocket-watch on them. Each one you pick up will stop the clock for 5 seconds. This effect is cumulative. Additionally, all soul gems, collectable items, and treasure chests (except giant and those behind puzzles) are converted into gold versions of the powerup, which stop the clock for 20 seconds instead.

Getting the 3-star ranking is pretty simple as long as you keep your eye in the prize and follow these tips:

1) Don't get distracted. Taking an elemental gate is a waste of time, as is treasure hunting, save that stuff for score attack and story mode.

2) Use a fast skylander. This is pretty self explanitory. I, myself used a series 1 Cynder as her dash attack allowed me to move across the maps rather fast. Also, she's a rather a good attacker. Boss fights are an exception, as you want to do damage as fast as possible instead of getting from point to point.

Magna Charge tends to be a real good choice if buying additional figures as besides being naturally fast, his magnets can attract the clock powerups to you saving the time it would take to collect them. (Credit to teengirlsquad4 for this tip!)

3) Don't fight enemies unless necessary. While it is tempting to get those powerups, ask yourself this: If you spend 10 seconds to get a 5 second bonus, was it really worth it?

4) Set the difficulty to easy. Difficulty has no bearing on this achievement, so crank it down. Enemy gates open so much quicker when you can kill them by breathing on them.

5) Only get gold powerups that are on the main path. Like with the enemies, if you're spending more than 20 seconds to get to the powerup and back, it's not worth getting.

6) Ignore the hazards. Sure, you could wait for the flame thrower to stop firing, but if you just jump through it, you may take a little damage, but you'll save several seconds.

7) When in rail shooting parts, aim for the balloons. Like regular boxes, the ones tied to the balloons have a chance of containing the time stop powerups, and it's not like you can rush through the section, so you might as well shoot at them.
