Note: Only male lions count towards this achievement.

Easily earned in the last region "Dry Savannah" where most of the hunts have lions and one hunt in particular has an infinite spawn of them when you don't kill the summoner lion.

Using the Knock Back ability to shoot animals that leap on you with RB/LB makes this achievement very easy and almost a joke.

Thickly SettledI noticed that only the male lions jump, so I would just shoot the females. I ran out of ammo before I got the achievement. The males have to be hit twice with the power up to kill them. I kept a cloud save before I finished the game so I'll give a go again.

NEO CRIMS0NThe name of the mission is "The King's Heirs" in Dry Savannah which is only available after defeating the Rhino Boss and just so everyone knows, you have to kill the first Male lion that is calling out for reinforcements, as he is calling for the females. The second that comes out calls for males more often than females. Keep him alive as he will just keep calling out those males and you will be able to get your achievement in no time!

Northglenn JeffFinally got this although I didn't get it on my first go around. I played the campaign over since I had already completed the missions that include the male lions. Also blasting hundreds of hyenas in mid air gave me nothing as I tried that since they are the last species that re-spawn throughout exploration. So I just ran through the hunts hoping to find the quickest way to get this 'In Mid Air' achievement; on the way skipping every vista point and fossil. I found, in the second region, that the Leopards that have a distinctive white stripe on their backs leap in the air on every attack meaning this can count towards the achievement. The only bad news is they don't re-spawn on this part, you can only get a good 6-7 of them. Then I flew by the next region reaching the jungle (region 3). I found that many hunts involve these Leopards with a white stripe so every time I found one I killed it in mid air as it leaped using the ability to blast animals in mid air. I believe it was the second to last hunt in this region that I finally hit the fifteenth Leopard with a white stripe that it triggered the achievement, as I made sure I hit every one in the air along the way here. So I believe this would be the #1 way to get it the fastest if you have already completed the game, otherwise good luck with finding another and or just make it to the Dry Savannah and hit every Male Lion, like above said they re-spawn until you kill the Lion calling in the wrong order. There you go guys, thanks for your help, I just found a quicker way to get it while trying to blow by the hunts to make it to the Dry Savannah again, to kill the Male Lions but again I didn't have to go that far to get it! Hell yea, this game is much better playing wise than the old ones.
