When playing this game be sure to always back up your save data on a USB Flash Drive.

Every time the game freezes, you have a chance of losing all of your save data.

Chances are you will lose all of your save data more than once while playing through this game, so be sure to back it up on a USB Flash Drive often.

You can get this achievement using a Regular Guitar. No Bass guitar is required.

However, much like the I know Guitar Techniques achievement, you need a lot of patience and a little bit of luck.

There are 3 main steps required for this achievement:

1. Play through all the Bass Lessons (Emulator Off)
2. Play each mini-game once while on the Bass Path (Emulator On)
3. Play through songs on Bass until you get the achievement (Emulator On)

~~~ Step 1: Play through all the Bass Lessons. ~~~
- The first thing you should do is switch to the Bass Path.
From the main menu press Back, then under "My Path" choose Bass Path.
- The second thing you want to do is turn the Bass Emulator off.
From the main menu press Start, then go down to Options. Go down to Play Settings. Select Emulate Bass and make sure it is off.
- Now you want to go to Lessons.
In order to play through these you will need to successfully pass the Tuner Interface, this is the hardest part.
You will need to tune your guitar so low and play around with it for a bit until you successfully pass the tune screen.
Strumming the string constantly and switching your pick-ups/tone knobs can help you pass the tune screen.
If you are patient and play around with it, eventually you will trick it into thinking you have a Bass and you will pass the Tuner Interface.
- Play all the Lessons that have a "Practice Track".
Look through all the Bass Lessons and play every "Practice Track".
At the end of the Practice Track you will see a statistics screen. One of the stats is "Technique Accuracy", make sure this is not 0%.
If it is at 0%, you will need to replay the Practice Track.
Playing the Practice Tracks will be difficult because your guitar is not a Bass, however you only need to hit each technique one time only.
Obviously you won't be able to play like normal.
You need to strum randomly and hard in order to hit some of the techniques, don't try to play it normally because it won't register.
Try slapping, palm muting, strumming, sliding, whatever you can do to get at least one of the techniques to register on each lesson.
Do whatever you have to do in order to get the notes to register.
It won't be pretty, but the only thing that matters is that you have at least 1% in Technique Accuracy at the end.
The most critical lessons to pay attention to are:
- Slap and Pop
- Arpeggio
- Frethand Mutes
- Harmonics
- Double Stops
Be 100% sure you get at least 1% Technique Accuracy in these lessons.
~~~ Step 2: Play each mini-game once while on the Bass Path ~~~

Now that the lessons are completed, you can turn the Bass Emulator On.

This will allow you to tune your guitar correctly and play normally from now on.

From the main menu press Start, then go down to Options. Go down to Play Settings. Select Emulate Bass and make sure it is On.)

Go to the Guitarcade and just play all the Mini-Games once.

~~~ Step 3: Play through songs on Bass until you get the achievement ~~~
Make sure that you are still on the Bass Path and that the Bass Emulator is still On.
All you need to do is go to Learn a Song and just start playing through songs.
It helps if you set the songs to 100% difficulty while doing this. You will be more likely to encounter the various Techniques while on full Mastered.
I got the achievement after completing the song Machinehead by Bush while in Learn a Song mode, with a regular guitar and the Bass Emulator on, so it is 100% possible to accomplish.
