There's not really any easy way to get this one. You'll have to master how to play all 55 songs in the game, I did it with guitar, so I'm unsure whether doing it with bass or vocals or doing a combination of any of them will work. The only real advice I can give is to use online tab sites like Songsterr for practicing as I find the note for note mode didn't help me learn the songs very well, and that's the site I always use whenever I want to learn new songs. It's basically a free web-based version of Guitar Pro.

Since the description just says 55 unique songs and not "every song on disc", I'd assume you could swap out songs for DLC songs which could possibly make this a bit easier. I can't confirm that, though. EDIT: Just checked and all the DLC is removed from the marketplace. If you didn't already have it downloaded, looks like there's no way to check if this would work.

If personal tutorials are more your thing, you could probably find video tutorials on Youtube for most of these songs. I haven't looked all of them up myself, but I can pretty much guarantee for the more popular songs there should be plenty to help you learn.

If you don't have years of experience playing the instrument, chances are this will be out of your reach. But use it as a goal to improve your guitar skills, since that's what the whole point of this game is in the first place!

Thanks to Devil May Asian, there is confirmation that you can mix and match between lead and rhythm guitar parts and it'll still count towards the progress. But there's a catch. Your 5 star run had to have scored more points. So if you are struggling with 4 stars on the Lead part and switch to rhythm and get 5 stars but with a lower score than your lead run, it will not count.

More tips from Devil May Asian:

"So....something frustrating happened. Playing Wayward Son on rhythm. Earlier today, picked up the guitar and got 1,451,167 with about a quarter of the last start left to fill. Fine, it was my first attempt at it.

Just now, I finished it and clutch 5 starred it on the last chord. The score was 1,449,xxx. Two thousand short of my high score and because of that, it didn't add to my progress. So.....that just happened. Both runs were REAL rhythm. I had my assumptions that the scores kinda had a mind of it's own but.....maybe the first run of a song has that glitch when you start up the game? I dunno.

Played Epic. Ran into a similar situation with Wayward Son the other day. Got a higher score but received a 4 star on a song with a previous 5 star high score. Checked the pie and it took away from it. Players need to note high scores if aiming for this achievement and dashboard if it looks like progress is compromised."
