How to unlock the Trash Picker achievement

    Trash Picker - Scavenge 40 items in a single game.

    These are either small green ammo boxes, or circular open black bags.

    With the help of IDark Vortexx here is a video showing the locations in the 3 areas of this map. Some people will unlock this in the 2nd area and therefore will only need to clear the 5 hives in area one to get this achievement.

    Once you have cleared the final hive in the 1st area you have unlimited time to explore as long as you do not place the bomb there.

    If you do not have the achievement in the 2nd area you will need to clear the hives in area 2 to access area 3.

    I would suggest getting to at least level 22 as then you can use the sentry, but it is fairly straight forward to clear the first area once you get the hang of the game. Would be best with 4 friends and take it in turns to collect all of the stashes. Then the next playthrough the next person take their turn and so on...

    Tim686Just tried this solo on casual and no achievement. Guess it has to be done on regular or hardcore, even though it does not specify it in the description.

    EDIT: awaiting more confirmation that you can hypno a rhino.

    Did it on solo, popped in the lodge area.
    Solo probably is the best way to get this, or with a group of friends so people don't take some themselves.

    Loadout:
    Level 25
    - Class Tank
    - Pistol
    - Ammo Type: Armor Piercing
    - Team Support: Random (not used)
    - Strike package: Sentry gun
    - Equalizer: MK32

    Strategy:
    Swipe the intire floor of the map. Leave no corner untouched. Searchables are:
    1. Garbage bags / open flat on ground.
    2. Small hand gun size containers
    All hinted areas are hotspots, not guaranteed since they are randomly placed

    Upgrading (in chrono order):
    - Turret to +2
    - Tank +2
    - Ammo +4
    - Turret +3
    - Tank +3
    - Turret +4
    - Tank +4

    - First area, divide it into 4 zones
    - Start (mostly along edges)
    - House / Appartments (dont forget upstairs, usually a few there)
    - Lodge / Grassland (along fence, in 'valley', behind hyve
    - Barrier (edges + next to crate)

    Second and third area
    - Don't use drill before search trip
    When entering a new area for the first time without drilling no enemies will (re)spawn. Once you have drilled, the monsters in that area will respawn every few minutes.

    Tips:
    - On solo it can get quite tough, so be sure to equip a sentry gun. And don't leave it unattended, for they will kill it
    - Save ammo as much as you can. Or you will run out, let sentry do the work. Only drop ammo if you have enough spare for a turret.
    - Dont ignore your drill, loosing it fails your mission
    - [100% verified!!!] You get 3 revives max, so don't panic when u get down for the first time. You will get a revive for each area you enter. If you only make it to the city, you will have 2, if you dont make it to the city u have 1. Make it to the lodge and get a full 3.
    - Piercing ammo is mandatory to succeed. I didnt encounter any rhino's till i played on (nearly escaped, pff)
    - If you pick up secondaries, discard them when you come across a hypno knife and keep that till monsters come and use it on big monsters (eg. Scorpions)
    - Dont check the map to hastly.. make sure to take your time.. Some of the boxes can appear cammoflaged in their environment

    FiBER NLWyrmser you are incorrect on the 2 revives. You will get 3.

    Vash 1he StmpdeYou're both right and wrong about the revives. I did solo last night, trying to find a hypno-knife and help you out (You would need impeccable aim or luck to get it there, but I've watched many people hit it with one and nothing, but always hit his armor) with busting the claim or not and I started with 2 downs. I was wondering whats up, thought it was 3? You earn a third revive at some point in the game. I didn't catch when, but when I was setting up for hive number 4 at the cabin, I looked down and saw the counter went up 1. Like I said, not sure when it goes up.

    BainneK10Personally I noticed I go revives after gettin armor again, dont quote me dat its every time, maybe my downs were just 2 or 3 nd far apart but if dat helps....also ders an upgrade in de loadout menu whee u spend de teeth, nd ders 1 dats "hypno knife a rhino" dat costs 50 teeth, im currently workin towards gettin it nd ill comment on how it performs wen i do.

    Trash Picker. Scavenge 40 items in a single game. This is earned in the Extinction game mode. I found it easiest playing solo. Simply roam the edges of the map looking for ammo crates or trash bags on the ground to "search." This achievement unlocked for me once I "searched" a few times it into the cabin area, which is right after the second big battle when the second helicopter destroys the second wall.
