How to unlock the Grand Prix Gold achievement

    Update: The April game update makes all of the initial 200 cars that launched with Forza 5 available as rental cars so it's no longer necessary to use the "rental glitch" if you don't own the car that is required for this achievement.

    Select Free Play
    Car: 2013 Lotus E21
    Track: Yas Marina - Full Circuit
    Rounds: 1
    Drivatar difficulty easy.

    The Lotus E21 was gifted to VIP members in November 2013.
    If you don't own the car select "Rent Car" and choose any car (the Lotus isn't available there). Then select "Buy Car" and choose the Lotus E21. Before selecting a design press "B" until you're back at the main menu of Free Play. The Lotus E21 will be your car now.
    Start the race and get the gold medal to unlock the achievement.

    If you wish to obtain this during Career mode like I did then you need to do the following:

    1) In the Racing Series, start the Modern Grand Prix Championship.

    2) Race the championship race in Yas Marina, making sure you finish at least 3rd to get a Gold.

    3) Achievement will pop once the race is over.

    Currently the only car you can use for the Modern Grand Prix is the 2013 Lotus E21 however this may change with future DLC car releases.

    PJ76ukHi ParadoxReal8, when I originally posted this solution in January 2014 I did include race number. However Turn10 later released some new tracks and integrated them into career mode so the race positions changed. Hence my removal of all race numbers on the solutions to this game in June 2014.

    As of 11th May 2018 the Yas Marina race is the 10th (out of 15) race in the series.
