The following is an excellent solution by PaleGringo for the Windows 8 version. Reposted with his permission.

The only change is that now Overshield and Seeker Drone count. Also, note that you must redo every AA, even if you previously have this achievement for Win 8 or WP8.

PaleGringo's solution:

I picked this one up today and it was easier than I thought. Here are the earliest starting missions for each Armor Ability. You do not need to complete the level for the ability use to count.

Regen Field - A-1
Sprint - A-3
Stun Blast - B-1
Hologram - B-4
Active Camouflage - C-3 (Earliest pickup of this item is Mission B-3)
Hardlight Shield - D-2 (Earliest pickup of this item is Mission C-4. Also available in Co-Op Mission 5)
Autosentry - A-1 (Must be purchased for 300XP or 15 CR, does not occur as starting ability)
Overshield - A-1 (400 XP or 20 CR, one free use by completing Halo 4, also available in some co-op missions)
Seeker Drone - A-1 (800 XP or 40 CR, one free use by completing Halo 4)

Simple enough: start up each level and use the starting Armor ability once and you will get the achievement as soon as the last ability is activated. Easy 20G!

The co-op missions also have Repel and Teleport. These may cause a positive glitch (which might now be patched). It seems that using any 9 different Armor Abilities (out of the 11 available in Campaign plus Co-op) will unlock the achievement. (Thanks, frenchdawg, SedateRial, and DrCanadianNinja for the helpful tips in the comments.) However, S P 4 C E Y reports that this did not work for him.
