How to unlock the Monster Hunter achievement

Quick note: This is a cumulative achievement and does not need to be done in one game. You need to defeat a total of 100 monsters across all your games.

In adventure mode you need to find weapons (either arrows or a machete) lying around the levels and then use them on any of the monsters within that level.

You can check your progress towards this achievement through the statistics on the right hand side of the main page.

There is normally about somewhere between 0-3 monsters on each level. I had to complete 70 levels before I unlocked the achievement, which took me about 7/8 hours.

This is a fairly straightforward achievement to get, just a little bit time consuming. Let me know if you have any questions or suggestions for improvements for this guide. Good luck!

HiradCJust to confirm aswell dynamite counts towards this. I know as it unlocked during a level when I got a dynamite kill.

SecondHALONICKDo the achievements unlock right when you go in the game after updating? Or does deleting it and reinstalling the game reset the achievements?

This solution is only for those with 2 computers (Windows 8.1) .

    * Defeating any monsters by any means - dynamite, machete, or arrow will count towards this achievement.

Both primary and secondary computer must be running at the same time.

1.Sign on your primary PC. Find a level with lots of monsters. Progress into the level and make a save convenient for you. Quitting is not require for saving. Performing any action (flagging ,moving adventurer, etc) in the game will automatically save to your cloud.
2.Sign on your secondary PC and load up the cloud storage.
3.On your secondary PC, defeat all monsters and fail the mission. Go back to homepage.
    4. On your primary PC, perform one action to update the cloud.
    5. Load up cloud storage on your secondary PC.
    6. Rinse and repeat steps 3 -5.

    Other notes:
*You must lose/fail in order for the stats to count. Exiting the mission will not update your statistics.
    * Any monsters killed at any point of your save will count. I defeated 1 monster in cloud and 1 in local. See the end-game statistics in the video.
    * The achievement should unlock in-game when you defeat your 100th enemy. For some, it may unlock after you failed or completed the level.

kliqIMBThis is HELLA old. But I figure if anyone cares still, the reason that sometimes it pops when you kill the enemy and sometimes it pops when you fail the level is that it actually caches the defeated / opened number per level. So for instance, I have a level where I opened 5 doors and yet all I do is kill myself every cloud save and I get +5.

I am using the lockdown time to 100% some of my older more tedious games in my collection. :) Aside from the monthly achievements, this and the “door” one were my last two from the Adventure game.

I was diligently going through the higher levels, when I thought “each level is taking so long and giving only 1 or 2 monsters”... I was playing through level 39 when I saw there’s were no monsters or doors on the level and lost the will to go on.

The solution is so simple though. Once you have got your level 20 achievement, start a new game. With a bit of luck level 1 will have at least one monster and one door. If it doesn’t start another’s new game. IMPORTANT! You need to either complete the level or run out of lives for the monster kill or door to count.

I found an efficient way was to complete level 1, if level 2 had a monster or door do that one and so on until I reached a level with no door or monster. At which point I would restart.

The early levels are so quick to go through, so it should take only a couple of hours.
