These are all of the locations of the Golden Manuals, there are 5 per level, and the pants, 1 per per level. I have labeled whether they can be obtained in Story or Free Play for extra help.
Here are the locations where you can start each level in Free Play:
Bricksburg Construction: Found in Bricksburg - To the left of the construction entrance.
Escape from Bricksburg: Found in Bricksburg - Found at the top of the Police Station to the right of the Construction Yard.
Flatbush Gulch: Found in Bricksburg - To the right of the police station in the alleyway.
Flatbush Rooftops: Found in the Old West - In the center of the level.
Escape from Flatbush: Found in the Old West - In front of the train in the back right, behind the graveyard.
Welcome to Cloud Cuckoo Land: Found in the Old West - In the graveyard on the right side.
Attack on Cloud Cuckoo Land: Found in Cloud Cuckoo Land - Straight down from the portal.
Escape from Cloud Cuckoo Land: Found in Cloud Cuckoo Land - On the island on the right.
The Depths: Found in Cloud Cuckoo Land - From the portal, on the first island on the right has a bridge you can go down to a new area, in the new area on the far side.
Infiltrate Octan Tower: Found in Cloud Cuckoo Land - From the portal, on the first island on the right has a bridge you can go down to a new area, to the right.
Put That Thing on the Thing: Found in Octan Tower - After opening the big red and black door, to the left
Broadcast News: Found in Octan Tower - After opening the big red and black door head down the hallway on the right and it is in the next room.
Back From Reality: Found in Bricksburg - In the construction yard with the hole in the ground.
Bricksburg Attack: Found in Bricksburg - In the Construction Yard, to the left of the police station in the center of the area.
The Final Showdown: Found in Bricksburg - In the Construction Yard, on the far right, right in front of the target.
Once you obtain everything from a level you can save and quit, you do NOT have to play the entire level.
Golden Manuals:
Bricksburg Construction:
1) As soon as you start the level the camera is up and to your left. (1/5) Continue to the right and the camera is above you. (2/5) In the second area, to your left as you spawn. (3/5) After heading through the gate it’s on the far right. (4/5) After heading up the conveyor belt its right at the top. (5/5) *Only Attainable in Free Play*
*Note* It seems that when you enter the secret area for the second gold instruction page the first two cameras will respawn so I recommend destroying them again just to be safe.
2) At the start of the level head to the right and melt the lock off the door, head into the next area. Head to the far right and use Lord Business for the red switch and destroy all 11 buildings in the area. *Only Attainable in Free Play*
3) Head through the fire and use the switch with Lord Business. *Only Attainable in Free Play*
4) After demolishing the house and the road and everything head into the next area and head far right, there are some rainbow bricks that Unikitty can destroy. Inside is the instruction page. *Only Attainable in Free Play*
5) As your free falling it will be towards the end of the sequence in the center of some studs. *Attainable in Story Mode*
Escape From Bricksburg:
1) While on the freeway driving the super cycle, after shooting the valve off the truck, the level will slow down and you will be able to shoot some cops on motorcycles. Shoot all 4 for the instruction manual. I held down the entire time and got it. *Attainable in Story Mode*
2) After using the ladder to get to the next level, fly towards the screen and on the left side on a black ledge you will see the instruction page. *Only Attainable in Free Play*
3) When you get outside to the alley where you build the cycle, in the front left corner is a gold lock you can melt, the instruction page is in the top right corner, fly up and get it. *Only Attainable in Free Play*
4) In the front right gated area, in the top right corner is the instruction page, fly up and get it. *Only Attainable in Free Play*
5) In the back middle is a gate with a gold lock to melt, hack the terminal in the back left and grab the instruction page. *Only Attainable in Free Play*
Flatbush Gulch:
1) Right at the beginning of the level, stay to the bottom while free falling and after the third turn the gold instruction page will be at the bottom. *Attainable in Story Mode*
2) During the rolling section you will have to knock what look like boxing gloves off of poles, they can be very tricky and may take you a time or two to get. The first one is when you have the first ramp you can go up on the right do so and follow the path to the left, it is at the bottom, you will have to jump to get it. (1/5) Right after the first their will be a ledge on the right, it is right after the ledge starts, jump to get it. (2/5) The third one is right before the entrance to the tunnel on the left, jump to get it. (3/5) As you exit the tunnel stay to the left and up the train tracks, it is shortly after you get on them, jump to get it. (4/5) After you get off the train tracks to get the last one take the ramp on the left and follow it to the right, jump to get it. (5/5) *Attainable in Story Mode*
3) During the rolling part at the beginning of the level you will enter a tunnel, at the end stay to the left to ride the train tracks. Follow them to the end and the instruction page is yours. Beware of the jumps. *Attainable in Story Mode*
4) As soon as you get to the camp put out the fire that the bad guys are around. *Only Attainable in Free Play*
5) After you enter the saloon, on the left will be a silver table you will have to destroy, do so and head up to the door underneath the stairs. Use Vitruvius to open the door and grab the instruction page. *Only Attainable in Free Play*
Flatbush Rooftops:
1) After destroying the three ladders cross the bridge and jump down, use Unikitty to destroy the rainbow bricks and head inside. Fly up and grab the instruction page to the right. *Only Attainable in Free Play*
2) At the start of the level use Vitruvius to hit the target above the skeleton. (1/3) After building the giant totem pole, head up with Vitruvius and hit the next target. (2/3) The third is where you get to the roof with the three ladders coming onto the building, the second time. To the right is a silver gate, once inside its in front and below you. *Only Attainable in Free Play*
3) When you get to the area with the cops coming onto the roof, the second time, destroy the silver gate on the right and it is on the roof in front of you. *Only Attainable in Free Play*
4) Towards the end of the level you will be on a vehicle running away from the cops, there are 3 covered wagons with targets on them that you must shoot. Once you get all three the instruction page is yours. Its hard to give exact locations but the area is a loop so just keep going around in a circle avoiding the objective until you get it. *Attainable in Story Mode*
5) Towards the end of the level, while on the vehicle, there will be guys with RPGs shooting at you, you must destroy all three for the instruction page. Escape from Flatbush:
1) At the very start of the level fly to the far left and destroy the rainbow bricks. *Only Attainable in Free Play*
2) It is right above the logs that you just knocked off of the train, fly up and get it. *Only Attainable in Free Play*
3) When you get to the car that is on fire that you need Vitruvius to walk over, walk to the center of the car and jump forward, you should get the instruction page. *Attainable in Story Mode*
4) After the cop starts shooting rockets at you, you will be climbing along the side of the train as Wildstyle. A rocket will be shot at the train that opens a car with a guy inside of it, defeat the guy for the instruction page. *Attainable in Story Mode*
5) After the train falls off of the cliff on the next car a rocket will blow a hole in the top, inside the car in the right corner is the instruction page. *Attainable in Story Mode
Welcome to Cloud Cuckoo Land:
1) At the very start of the level head to the right and you will see and rainbow cloud. Destroy it with Unikitty and enter the next area. When you have made your way through to the end of the area you will get the gold manual. *Only Attainable in Free Play*
2) At the beginning of the level head to the far left and use Vitruvius to hit the target on the pinwheel. (1/5) To the right of the grapple point is the second target. (2/5) In starting area on the far left is the third target. (3/5) After the grapple point on the next cloud is the fourth target. (4/5) After using Wyldsytle to jump up to the next cloud the last target is on the far left. (5/5) *Attainable in Story Mode*
3) Just before the cloud staircase, on the right is a sunflower looking lollipop thing, destroy it and then rebuild it. (1/3) After climbing the staircase, at the top on the right and left are the last two lollipop sunflowers. (2/3) (3/3) *Attainable in Story Mode*
4) After climbing the stairs use the bouncy pad on the left to get up the clouds, then use Wildstyle to jump across and grab the manual. *Attainable in Story Mode*
5) After the rainbow toast, fly across to the next area and on the left will be a cloud to break that turns into a storm cloud. (1/5) After crossing the rainbow bridge, to the right is the second gray storm cloud. (2/5) After swinging across the three bars and heading up into the next area, on the far left is the third cloud. (3/5) Head up the stairs from the last one and just to the left is the fourth cloud. (4/5) To the right from the last one is the last cloud. (5/5) *Attainable in Story Mode*
Attack on Cloud Cuckoo Land:
1) At the start of the level turn around and put out the fire. (1/6) Above where you start where the gold statue is, the fire is in the back right corner. (2/6) There are two on the right side of the level by the knock knock point. (3/6) (4/6) At the top of the level in the area of the chicken, there is a fire on the left side. (5/6) In the area with the chicken there is a fire on the right side. (6/6) *Only Attainable in Free Play*
2) On the far right in front of where Emmet is being held, in the air is the manual. *Only Attainable in Free Play*
3) At the very top, to the right of the chicken is a gold wall, inside is the manual. *Only Attainable in Free Play*
4) After freeing UniKitty and building the two water cars, there is a small fire just behind the two cars. (1/3) The second is on the same platform towards the bottom of the screen. (2/3) The final fire is at the top of the stairs to the right. (3/3) *Only Attainable in Free Play*
5) Right next to the final fire to put out is a silver pole, destroy it for the manual. *Only Attainable in Free Play*
Escape from Cloud Cuckoo Land:
1) As soon as you start the level go all the way to the left. *Attainable in Story Mode*
2) As soon as you start the level go all the way to the right and it is on the wing. *Attainable in Story Mode*
3) After gaing access to Unikitty head to the right and there will be some rainbows for unikitty to destroy. (1/3) Head to the far right where you have to defeat 20 enemies, destroy the rainbows and then rebuild them. (2/3) After flying on the rainbow butterfly its right next to where you land. *Attainable in Story*
4) In the same area as the first rainbow flags are some gold flowers on the walls, there is one to the left, (1/3), and one straight ahead. (2/3) Right above the cuckoo clock is the third flower. (3/3) *Only Attainable in Free Play*
5) In the same area as the flowers you will see a white wall in the center. To the left of it is a giant flower things, destroy it and then rebuild it. Inside use the drill spot to get the manual. *Only Attainable in Free Play*
The Depths:
1) After starting the stero system head down and to the left to see a gold rock wall, break it and inside is the manual. *Only Attainable in Free Play*
2) After using the secret knock fly up over the master build spot to find the manual. You can also wait until you flood the ship and then swim up there. *Attainable in Story Mode*
3) After the ship floods with water swim to the next area. Just down the path is a treasure chest, destroy it. (1/5) A little further down is the second one. (2/5) The third is after the gold rock wall. Just up the path from the third one. (4/5) The last one is on the ocean floor where you meet the piranha. (5/5) *Note: Currently the treasure chests are glitched, if you go through the gold rock wall to get the pants when you come out every one you got will be closed again. This mean you can grab the same ones twice. I only grabbed three different chests to get the minikit.* *Attainable in Story Mode*
4) In the underwater tunnel you will swim around and eventually see a manual above you, swim back to the left and up just a little and there will be an opening on the right. *Attainable in Story Mode*
5) In the dark underwater area, after you get past the first school of colorful fish and have to go down and to the right, instead go straight down into a hidden area, through the wall, to find the manual. *Attainable in Story Mode*
Infiltrate the Octan Tower:
1) As soon as you start the level head to the right corner and set a fire in front of the door. Inside put the numbers up on the wheel, of the three not on the wheel, one is on the right, one in the middle and one on the left. After they are in order a handle will appear. Pull it for the manual. *Only Attainable in Free Play*
2) Head up to the top left of the ship and on the right side will be a cannon. (1/4) The second cannon is on the deck to the upper right, it’s the one pointing off the ship without the wheels. (2/4) The third cannon is to the left of all the rainbow Legos, hidden behind the pole. (3/4) The last one is all the way up on the right side of the ship to the left of the giant robot. (4/4) *Attainable in Story Mode*
3) When you get to the tower, on the right side of the room will be a vehicle, destroy the gate then destroy both of the gold canisters for the manual. *Only Attainable in Free Play*
4) When you get to the second room of the tower on the left you can jump out the window and fly over and grab the manual. *Only Attainable in Free Play*
5) In the relic room head to the back left corner and use the switch with Lord Business, walk through the lasers and hit the switch, the manual will be to your right. *Only Attainable in Free Play*
Put that Thing on the Thing:
1) At the very start of the level head to the far right and you will see a hack machine, complete it then grab the manual. *Only Attainable in Free Play*
2) Up in the air just behind the instruction build station, towards the screen. *Only Attainable in Free Play*
3) In the top right corner of the starting room is a door with a gold outline, inside is the manual. *Only Attainable in Free Play*
4) While crossing the second audio floor, you should see a manual towards the screen jump towards it to collect it. *Attainable in Story Mode*
5) Head to the far right in the audio floor room and you will see a hack machine, front left corner, once completed use the robot to grab the manual. *Only Attainable in Free Play*
Broadcast News:
1) On the far right side of the starting room is a wall that WyldStyle can climb right above where you start is the manual. *Attainable in Story Mode*
2) In the starting area, on the far right you will see a icon where you have to repair something, in front of the bleachers. Repair the item then enter the room that opens up. At the end of the conference table is the manual. *Only Attainable in Free Play*

In the front right corner are some colored notes, that you have to hit in two waves. The first wave is 5 blues and 1 green. The second is 6 blues, 1 green, 1 yellow, 1 orange, 1 green, 1 yellow. 4) As soon as you get MetalBeard back you will see some gray container in a group of four, you have to use MetalBeard to destroy these. There are two right in front of you. (1/6) (2/6) The third one is in the back left corner of the room. (3/6) Back right corner of the same room. (4/6) The fifth one is down in the center on the left side. Aim with his rockets to destroy it. (5/6) The last one is down in the center on the right side. Aim with his rockets to destroy it. (6/6) *Attainable in Story Mode*
5) In the room where you get MetalBeard on the far side of the room in the center up high is the manual. *Only Attainable in Free
Back From Reality:
1) After gaining Gail head to the back left corner and jump up and grab the manual. *Attainable in Story Mode*
2) After you get off the conveyor belt head to the right and you will see a gold wall, destroy it and inside is the manual. *Only Attainable in Free Play*
3) After the building collapses repair the elevator door and push the elevator all the way down to the end for a manual. *Attainable in Story*
4) After coming out of the elevator shaft, right above you will be a grapple point, on the landing is the manual. *Only Attainable in Free Play*
5) Right after the last one, climb the wall to the next landing and its hidden in the back left corner. *Attainable in Story Mode*
Bricksburg Under Attack:
1) As soon as you start the level, in the left corner is a fire, put it out. (1/4) On the right side of the street is the second one. (2/4) The next one is just to the left of the first tentacle. (3/4) The last one is after you destroy the gold bar on the red tentacle, a tank will fall off the roof and cause a fire. Once you put it out the manual is yours. (4/4) *Only Attainable in Free Play*
2) A little ways down the road, before the tentacle, you will see a hotel sign on the right side of the street, head down the alley in front of it for the manual. *Attainable in Story Mode*
3) On the right side of the street you will see a Fish and a Hotel sign, grab each one using the mech and the manual is yours. *Attainable in Story Mode*
4) When you get to the second area on the left side you will see two gold gates blocking a subway station entrance. Destroy them and run down and grab the manual. *Only Attainable in Free Play*
5) When you get to the second giant tentacle, head to the right in a little alcove, destroy the LEGOs in the center and then build them into a statue for a manual. *Attainable in Story Mode*
The Final Showdown:
1) At the start of the level you will see little silver LEGO pieces around the level, the first is in the front left corner. (1/3) The second is in the middle left against the building. (2/3) The third is in the front right corner. (3/3) *Attainable in Story Mode*
2) In the first area on the right will be a small ledge with a smile sign above it, use superman to activate the point then fly to grab the manual. *Only Attainable in Free Play*
3) From the ground level, one level up on the left side in the front left corner high in the air is the manual. *Only Attainable in Free Play*
4) On the highest roof on either side will be silver giant billboards, destroy them both for a manual. *Only Attainable in Free Play*
5) On the highest roof there are three machines on the right side, step on all three for a manual. *Attainable in Story
Pants:
There are 15 pairs of pants that you must collect through the story/free play levels to unlock this trophy. Their locations are as follows:
Bricksburg Construction: During the dance mini-game you must get three awesome scores by the end of the game. If you do the pants will appear by the stereo. See the I Could Sing This For Hours Trophy for tips. *Attainable in Story Mode*
Escape From Bricksburg: After getting the third instructions use the hack machine in the left corner and head into the next room. Follow the path until you get the door open with the pants. *Only Attainable in Free Play*
Flatbush Gulch: When you get to the camp in the back right corner will be a gate with a gold lock you can melt, do so and then get to the roof of the barn and drill the spot, the pants are in the barn. *Only Attainable in Free Play*
Flatbush Rooftops: After destroying the three ladders, cross the bridge and jump down, use Unikitty to destroy the rainbow bricks and head inside. Head over to the window and interact with it. Shoot 10 bed guys and the pants are yours. *Only Attainable in Free Play*
Escape from Flatbush: At the start of the level fly left and destroy the gold hatch, head inside and blow up the safe on the right, use both switches. The left one the two tan ones are at the top and bottom, the right one the two greens are on top and bottom. *Only Attainable in Free Play*
Welcome to Cloud Cuckoo Land: After heading up the stairs and before performing the secret knock, head over to the left and fly towards the rainbow behind the clouds. Stand on the rainbow springboard and you will get the pants. *Only Attainable in Free Play*
Attack on Cloud Cuckoo Land: After getting eaten by the chicken fly to the far left of the area and you will see 6 gold doors, melt each and then use Green Lantern to build the LEGO’s. Grab the pair of pants. *Only Attainable in Free Play*
Escape from Cloud Cuckoo Land: After gaining the little village on the right, fly to the far right and you will see a box with a gold lock on it. Destroy the lock, then use Green Lantern to build the pieces and the minikit will appear. *Only Attainable in Free Play*
The Depths: Once you get to the second area, the first one after the ship floods, continue along the path until you see some gold rocks on the left, destroy them and head through. There are three gold puffer fish you must destroy. The first is right at the beginning. (1/3) The second is in the middle of the open area just after the first. (2/3) The third one is just above the second one in a hidden path. (3/3) *Only Attainable in Free Play*
Infiltrate the Octan Tower: As soon as you start the level head to the right corner and set a fire in front of the door. Inside put the numbers up on the wheel, of the three not on the wheel, one is on the right, one in the middle and one on the left. After you complete the puzzle the pants will appear. *Only Attainable in Free Play*
Put that Thing on the Thing: During the dance mini-game you must get 9 awesome scores, if you do the pants will appear. *Attainable in Story Mode*
Broadcast News: After playing the matching game head to the next little area to the right, with the red couches, and fly up and you will see the pants. *Only Attainable in Free Play*
Back From Reality: When you get to the Crater Site, the area with the fire blocking the stairs, head to the right into the crater. In the back left corner is a Lord Business switch, use it and then defeat the 8 enemies for the pants. *Only Attainable in Free Play*
Bricksburg Under Attack: In the second area, right above Joe Plumbing truck is another roof. On the roof use the Lord Business switch in the right corner and then turn off the switch on the left wall. Next use Unikitty to break the rainbow blocks and run in and grab the pants. *Only Attainable in Free Play*
The Final Showdown: From the ground level, one level up on the left will be a giant gold billboard, cut it out and the pants will be right behind it. *Only Attainable in Free Play*
I would also add don't think getting every red block and gold page means you will end up with all 70 goldbricks you will also need to complete the bonus room some blocks are not as easy to find as others - I would suggest using the below you tube video.
Once you have all gold pages and red bricks all remaining yellow bricks are 100 percent in the bonus room !!!!
