Just what it says. You cannot perform any takedowns, kill anyone, shoot them with a choke arrow - anything that leaves them dead or unconscious. Reloading a checkpoint after you kill someone or knock them out is allowed, assuming your checkpoint is before the attack.

Well, almost what it says. There is a forced takedown in the Prologue. You can't avoid it, the game will actually prompt you to take down a guard, and you have to do it to proceed. This one doesn't count.

This achievement will come naturally if you use the recommended difficulty settings for:
THIEFSomething to ProveThe Something to Prove achievement in THIEF worth 614 pointsFinish the game with a custom difficulty of 700 points or more

...or if you just turn on the "No Kills or Knockouts" in the custom difficulty settings when starting your game. With this setting on, if you kill someone or knock them out, the game immediately fails you and you must reload - so if you can finish with it on, you'll get this achievement.

RetroKongI have "no kills or knockouts" turned on however there is a guy on the first level you have to knock out? Does this one time not count?

Calex dEUSWondering the same thing myself, planned on doing a pure stealth run first but I don't see any way around knocking this guy out, if you wait too long he finds the body.

Calex dEUSActually when you look in stats after knocking him out it still says 0 so this is ok I think.

PuckJunkieYes, that forced knockout in the prologue is okay. I should have mentioned that in the solution, updating it.

PuckJunkieYes, using the opium overload definitely voids the achievement. Although it is quite entertaining. smile

SinSTeRS DEVILIf u do kill sum1 and finished the game can u go bk to chapters u killed sum1 or do u have start new game cos I killed the general ???

PuckJunkieYou can't just replay a chapter in which you killed someone. If one of your save files is before you killed him, reload that save file. Otherwise, you'll need a new playthrough.

Keep in mind you'll have to do a playthrough with 700 custom difficulty points, and this nearly mandates using the "no kills or knockouts" setting, so you'll get this achievement naturally when going for that one.
