Last years fuel mileage trick isn't very effective in this game, but is still possible. With 4x tire wear and fuel, about half the field or more should pit in most races. The only problem is getting your finish to stick after the race. I think this glitch has to due with what position you're in when the leaders take the white flag.

Anyways, I found an easier method for this year. Although it takes longer than the fuel mileage method, I found it to be more effective. You can also do this on year one. I did it year two, but used the default parts from year one. If you do choose to do it year one, It will be nearly impossible to get the 2400 points and 20 poles, so you will need a second season regardless. Here are the settings you want for each race:

Difficulty: 90 %
Race Length: 20% (2% for Sonoma & Watkins Glen. Just race these tracks normal. 5% for Martinsville & Bristol. Race these normal and take whatever position you can get. Wrecking the cars will take forever on these tracks.)
Tire Wear: 4x
Fuel: 4x
Flags: Off
Damage: Full

Now that you have these settings, you can skip everything and jump right to the race. When the green flag drops, you can either stop the car around the start finish line or drive half a lap to the backstretch. Now, position your car so that the nose is pointing towards the outside wall on the track. Back your car up to the apron and wait for the pack to come around. The reason you're not waiting with your nose against the wall is because they will see you there and change lanes to avoid you. If you wait around the apron you can time it and collide with the pack. It is very important you postion the car across the track like I stated so that you don't take engine damage with a head on head collision. As the collisions start adding up you'll get flat tires and minor engine damage. Just go into pit under the red flag to repair this.

After a few wrecks, the field starts to get thinner and thinner, which makes this process a lot longer. If you see a lot of disparity in the results each race, I would settle for a top 10 finish each race and crash the car to end it quicker. Maybe a little better finish for the chase races. Also, make sure you run a few laps before you DNF. Sometimes if you're multiple laps down you may need to run a few laps to pass the cars you recently crashed out. One thing to point out though, the game will glitch this way as well, just like the fuel saving. I would say 90% of the time, the position that you cross in will not be the position they give you. That's okay though, just make the chase and go from there. As usual, you don't have to win everything in the chase, you just have to out do your fellow chase drivers. So be sure to know who is in the chase and look for them during the red flags.

Lastly, the game glitched in my favor multiple times, but I wouldn't count on it repeating for you as well. If the wrecks were so massive, every car would vanish, leaving just me. After I completed the next lap, I got first. Another glitch, sometimes the race will randomly end. The leader will take the checkered flag, sometimes it's actually over and you can settle for what you have or restart. Also, it could just being fooling you. If they are still coming at you at high speeds, the flag was a lie and proceed with knocking cars out.

Hopefully this helps, PM me or leave a comment if you need any further explanation or if you have a question that you think I may be able to help with!

I just wanted to add that for whatever reason, if you line your car up just after the start/finish line and hit cars the leader there, it glitches and says the race is over and was won by whomever was in the lead at that point in time. BUT, if you've knocked someone out of the race, thus bringing up a red flag, the game restacks all the cars for a restart again, except it removes EVERY single car that crossed the start/finish line, after the race was "won" by the leader, but before the red flag was thrown.

So, basically, there were times where I could time the collision so that the entire field was removed from the race after the first lap, and so I was restarting the race in the lead as the only car in the field. I could, in effect, glitch everyone out of the race, and then finish one green flag lap to win it. I could then sim two to three races during the season, and then do the same for the next race. I couldn't get it to work every single time, but I'd say a good 2/3 of the time it worked like a charm. I got through the season on 90% difficulty in just over an hour.

-When the entire field disappears, the race will always end in two laps, a guaranteed good result.

-If you are constantly get knocked out by the field hitting you while parked sideways, try parking parallel to the wall and drive in reverse into the oncoming field. This will lessen the chance of your car being turned head on with the field and risking any engine damage.

-If you are having a hard time with one of Bristol, Martinsville, Watkins Glen, or Sonoma, try your luck simulating. These tracks can be difficult to stay competitive, so it may be worth a shot to just simulate it.

-Red flags run three laps for you, therefore, you do not have to run a few laps to pass any recently crashed cars. You will overtake them during the red flag.
