How to unlock the No Child Left Behind achievement

This achievement is for never ending a battle with a buddy knocked out. They can die in battle, but be sure to revive them before it ends. Often my buddy would die and the enemy bleeding would cause him to die, ending the battle. If your buddy is dead and a battle ends, simply reload any save before the fight and you will be fine.

It is confirmed that Kenny can die, but be sure he is back before the battle ends! Thanks xLTTFx JiB3

xZHCxI played this on 360 years ago and didn't get this one so I replayed the entire game and got all of the achievements I was missing but this one didn't unlock even though I know I had no buddies down at the end of combat. I played all the way through for a 3rd time and am 100% positive I had no downs at all ever, not even Kenny, and it still didn't pop. Sad face.

Seanyplayz805It did not pop for me on my sencond run where I made sure no one was knocked out when the battles ended. It happened twice but I immediately turned the console off(XboxOne) so it wouldnt have saved.

My best guess is the Rebirth perk effects the poorly programed game. The game is amazing A+ but has poor porgramming everywhere especially for achivement hunters.

I got this achievement despite obtaining the Kenny achievement and dying several times during battle and having to continue. It looks like you just need to make you revive any down buddies before you kill all enemies. Beware of Gross Out and Bleed damage killing the enemy before you have a chance to revive someone.

BillJones0302Thank you for the information, have had to hit the "continue" button more than once. Some of the fights are tough until you level-up.

The only thing you need to do for this achievement is to finish every fight with your buddy standing. It doesn't matter if they go down as long as they're up when the fight ends.

There are lots of fighting styles to choose from depending on your class, but here are a few helpful general tips to make this easier:

    1. If you fail a fight you can choose 'Exit to Main Menu' from the death menu and reload your most recent save. The game automatically saves checkpoints, so you shouldn't lose much progress even if you haven't saved recently.

    2. Carry extra tacos to avoid frustration during some of the tougher fights. Buy more when you run low. Farm the parking meters for change if your funds are low.

    3. Get the perk that gives full health on revives--again, this helps to avoid wasting a lot of tacos in the harder fights.

    4. Look for combos that let you attack all enemies for lots of damage. One I used a lot toward the end with the Jew class was fully powered Plague of Egypt with UP (frogs) or RIGHT (locusts) attacks to buff abilities followed by Cartman's Ass of Fire attack--this routinely did in excess of 10,000 damage per enemy and ended most fights before the enemy could attack.

    5. You can skip side quests--the achievement pops after the main story is done. Go back and finish side quests later.

CristoThaBronySo if you and a buddy die, and you get the death screen and choose continue, it voids the achievement?
Posted by CristoThaBrony on 25 Feb 15 at 04:47
SpeleoFoolProbably. It's been a while since I played this, so I'm not sure if you can manually load an old save after continuing, but the death screen pretty much means the achievement isn't happening. I did this in my second playthrough & used what I learned to avoid being knocked out once.

JayD101I didn't get this achievement first time through despite never ending a battle with a buddy down but I did die once and continue, guess this is why some people haven't got it.
