The Story of Finals mode is now available to play.

From the looks of it, there will be 48 challenges to play, being the total number of group stage games to be played in the World Cup. These challenges are similar to the Story of Qualifying mode, in which you're given a "what if" situation based on a real-life result.

EDIT: Contrary to previous note, it has been confirmed by several gamers in comments that the achievement will unlock upon completing all MAJOR objectives. As such, if the minor ones are giving you problems, you might as well skip them. Much thanks to DittHest and Cereal Killerrr for confirming this.

You can do all the objectives on the Semi-Pro difficulty.

I'll proceed to list down all the objectives. Please note the header is based on real-life results, while the scenario is what the game has given you. You select the scenarios by going to through the calendar in the Story of Finals mode, and choosing the respective dates for the games.

For objectives that requires you to score X amount of goals, it's usually achievable simply by switching your formation to 4-3-3 attack, and putting players with high pace upfront. This will allow you to set up one-on-one chances quite easily - whether your players could score, that's highly dependable on the team you're using. Generally, traditionally strong teams are easy, since they've very good strikers. I'd not provide any tips for those give-away scenarios. Instead, I'll leave some tips on some scenarios that I thought are quite challenging, and how I beat them. They're not fool-proof, but I hope that by sharing my experience, it can help anyone who has issues with them.

If a scenario that you're having issues with doesn't have a tip, please leave a comment. I'll update accordingly.

EDIT: There's an easy way to get all Be a Pro challenges done, as suggested by The Achieveman in his solution. When on main screen, go to Settings, and turn Offsides to off. Then, load the scenario (e.g., Tim Cahill). Have the player who needs the goals hang around the opponent's penalty area, and then ask for the ball when your midfielders have the ball. With offside turned off, you'll received a long pass with no defenders around, which makes it easier to score.

12th June:
Brazil 3 Croatia 1
You control: Brazil
Scenario: Brazil is 1-0 down in the 28th minute
Major: Win the match
Minor: Score 3 goals
Minor: Concede no more goals

13th June:
Mexico 1 Cameroon 0
You control: Cameroon
Scenario: Cameroon is 1-0 down in the 64th minute
Major: Win the match
Minor: Concede no more goals
Minor: Get no yellow cards
Tips: For this one, I simply changed to 4-3-3 attack, and had no issues grabbing 3 goals. You only need 2 to get all the objectives. Use one-two passing (LB when passing) to confuse the opponent's defence to set up one-on-one chances.

Spain 1 Netherlands 5
You control: Netherlands
Scenario: Netherlands is 1-0 down in the 42nd minute
Major: Win the match
Minor: Score 5 goals
Minor: Concede no more goals

Chile 3 Australia 1
You control: Australia
Scenario: Australia is 2-0 down in the 15th minute
Major: Win the match
Minor: Score 3 goals with your pro (Tim Cahill)
Minor: Concede no more goals
Tips: This one is very, very hard in my opinion. Although Tim Cahill may have scored the best goal of this World Cup so far, he isn't very quick, and Australia isn't very good in the game as well. The up side is that you've plenty of time to score 3 goals with Cahill, but even so, it's hard. From the start, you face a corner. Position Cahill outside your area, and spam A. Hopefully, one of your defenders will head the ball towards you, which (hopefully) allows a clear run towards goal from your own half. Since Cahill isn't exceptionally fast, you may want to vary your sprints, so that you don't mis-control the ball. Make sure you score in this attack. If you don't, reload. It took me about 4 attempts to finally get this scenario out of the way. You may also want to immediately switch to Ultra Defensive to reduce the chances of you conceding a goal.

14th June:
Columbia 3 Greece 0
You control: Greece
Scenario: Greece is 2-0 down in the 64th minute
Major: Avoid defeat
Minor: Win the match
Minor: Get no yellow cards
Tips: This one is quite tough simply because Greece isn't a good team to control in this game. For situations like this, I'd suggest switching formation to 4-3-3 attack, which pushes 4 attackers (3 strikers, 1 attacking midfielder) upfront in a rush for goals. Make sure your front three have reasonable pace, and keep passing the ball to them. Don't attempt to cross the ball, just alternative between running and sprinting, and hope that you get a clear run towards goal for a shot on target. For this scenario, I actually used my wingers a lot, as I'd pass the ball to the central striker, and lay the ball off with a through-pass (Y) to the on-running wingers. This set up a few one-on-one situations, which I was lucky enough to score 3 goals from.

Uruguay 1 Costa Rica 3
You control: Costa Rica
Scenario: Costa Rica is 1-0 down at the start of the 2nd half
Major: Win the match
Minor: Score 3 goals
Minor: Get no yellow cards
Tips: Costa Rica is the weaker team on paper, but they're quite ok to use in the game. The usual 4-3-3 attack formation should net you 3 goals.

England 1 Italy 2
You control: England
Scenario: England is 2-1 down in the 75th minute, and Leighton Baines is standing over a direct freekick
Major: Avoid defeat
Minor: Win the match
Minor: Win by 2
Tips: This is one of the harder challenges. You actually need to score 3 goals to complete all objectives, with very little time left. The key here is to ensure that you score 1 immediately from the Baines freekick. If you don't know how to score directly from a freekick, there's another way to nick a quick goal from the onset. Aim the freekick in the general direction of the goal, hold LB, and then blast the ball until the power is around 50%. The ball will ricochet off the wall. With some luck, it'll fall nicely at the feet of Ross Barkley, from which you can score rather easily. This doesn't happen all the time, but it happened a few times as I struggled in this scenario, so it's your best bet to nick a quick goal. Once you score, remove Wayne Rooney, and bring on a Adam Lallana (or any other fresh legs). Rooney was horrible in this game in real life, and he'll offer nothing for you in-game as well. Fresh pair of legs, switch to 4-3-3 attack formation, and hope for the best.

Ivory Coast 2 Japan 1
You control: Ivory Coast
Scenario: Ivory Coast is 1-0 down in the 23rd minute
Major: Avoid defeat
Minor: Win the match
Minor: Win by 2
Tips: If you're somehow struggling with this one, I've only one word for you - Gervinho. Use his pace to tear Japan to shreds!

15th June:
Switzerland 2 Ecuador 1
You control: Switzerland
Scenario: Switzerland is 1-0 down in the 40th minute
Major: Win the match
Minor: Concede no more goals
Minor: Get no yellow cards

France 3 Honduras 0
You control: France
Scenario: It's 0-0 in the 44th minute, and you're standing over a penalty kick as Karim Benzema
Major: Score 2 goals with your Pro (Karim Benzema)
Minor: Concede no more goals
Minor: Get no yellow cards

Argentina 2 Bosnia 1
You control: Argentina
Scenario: Argentina is 2-0 up in the 65th minute
Major: Win the match
Minor: Concede no more goals
Minor: Score 2 goals

16th June:
Germany 4 Portugal 0
You control: Portugal
Scenario: Portugal is 2-0 down in the 39th minute
Major: Win the match
Minor: Concede not more than 2 goals
Minor: Get no yellow cards
Tips: You need to score three goals, and you should pass the ball to Cristiano Ronaldo, and use his pace to score. His shooting is exceptional, and an easy way of scoring is have him sprint down the right flank, cut into the penalty area, and shoot. Most of the times, he'd attempt a powerful outer-foot swerving shot that would go in rather easily.

Iran 0 Nigeria 0
You control: Nigeria
Scenario: It's 0-0 in the 74th minute
Major: Win the match
Minor: Win by 2
Minor: Concede no more goals

Ghana 1 USA 2
You control: Ghana
Scenario: Ghana is 1-0 down in the 59th minute
Major: Win the match
Minor: Concede no more goals
Minor: Get no yellow cards

17th June:
Belgium 2 Algeria 1
You control: Belgium
Scenario: Belgium is 1-0 down in the 64th minute
Major: Win the match
Minor: Concede no more goals
Minor: Get not more than 1 yellow card

Brazil 0 Mexico 0
You control: Mexico
Scenario: It's 0-0 in the 80th minute
Major: Win the match
Minor: Concede no more goals
Minor: Win by 2

Russia 1 Korea 1
You control: Russia
Scenario: It's 1-1 in the 75th minute
Major: Win the match
Minor: Score 1 goal with your pro (A. Kerzhakov)
Minor: Get no yellow cards
Tips: This one is similar to the Tim Cahill challenge. You control a rather slow pro, and need to ensure you score 2 goals to get all the objectives. It's not easy at all, and if you don't get the first goal by the 80th minute, you should restart. I ended up using long shots to get this one over and done with, so you may want to try that.

18th June:
Australia 2 Netherlands 3
You control: Netherlands
Scenario: It's 1-1 in the 53rd minute, and Netherlands is facing a penalty from Jedinak
Major: Save 1 penalty kick
Minor: Win the match
Minor: Win by 2
Tips: As long as you save the penalty, you're golden. If you don't, immediately reload. Before Jedinak takes the kick, you can press any of the four colored buttons to distract him. You do not actually have to save the kick - as long as Jedinak misses (hits the post, blasts it over, etc.), it'll still count that you've saved it. After saving the kick, switch to 4-3-3 attack, and make full use of Arjen Robben's pace to get the goals you need.

Spain 0 Chile 2
You control: Spain
Scenario: Spain is 2-0 down in the 65th minute
Major: Score 3 goals with your pro (to confirm which pro as I haven't played this yet)
Minor: Concede no more goals
Minor: Get no yellow cards

Cameroon 0 Croatia 4
You control: Croatia
Scenario: Croatia is 1-0 up in the 41st minute
Major: Score 3 goals
Minor: Win the match
Minor: Concede no more goals
Tips: This is surprisingly hard, mainly because Croatia is horrible to control. I'd switching to 4-3-3 attack as usual, and switch a player with the highest pace to be the central striker. Then, use him to spam sprints into the area, and hopefully he'll get the goals for you.

19th June:
Columbia 2 Ivory Coast 1
You control: Columbia
Scenario: It's 0-0 in the 63rd minute
Major: Win the match
Minor: Score 2 goals
Minor: Concede not more than 1 goal

Uruguay 2 England 1
You control: England
Scenario: England is 1-0 down in the 73rd minute
Major: Win the match
Minor: Score 2 goals with your pro (Wayne Rooney)
Minor: Score 3 goals
Tips: I hate England scenarios, because they're always hard. Try to set up Rooney so that he's cutting in from the left flank, and shooting with his right foot. I think it's easier for him to score a right-footer than a left. If you don't get at least one goal by the 80th minute, restart. After grabbing 2 for Rooney, I stayed in midfield, and chose to send through passes to Daniel Sturridge instead. Sturridge is super quick, and if you manage to set him up for a one-on-one, press B immediately - he's likely to bury it to secure the 3rd goal you need for the last objective.

Japan 0 Greece 0
You control: Japan
Scenario: It's 0-0 in the 75th minute
Major: Win the match
Minor: Win by 2
Minor: Get not more than 1 yellow card
Tips: It's not as difficult as it sounds, because in Keisuke Honda, Japan has one of the better players in the game. He's not very fast, but in tight angles, you can try a shot with him, and he's likely to get a goal. As usual, I'd suggest using 4-3-3 attack since I feel that this is the best formation against the AI. You can even concede 1 yellow card while trying to win the ball, which is a nice buffer as you press high up the pitch.

20th June:
Italy 0 Costa Rica 1
You control: Italy
Scenario: Italy is 1-0 down in the 51st minute
Major: Score 2 goals with your pro (Mario Balotelli)
Minor: Win the match
Minor: Get no yellow cards
Tips: Very easy challenge as Balotelli is easy to score a goal with. Not much tips except to pass the ball to him all the time, and have him sprint into the area, and unleash his shots.

Switzerland 2 France 5
You control: France
Scenario: It's 0-0 in the 16th minute
Major: Score 6 goals
Minor: Concede no more goals
Minor: Get no yellow cards

Honduras 1 Ecuador 2
You control: Ecuador
Scenario: Ecuador is 1-0 down in the 31st minute
Major: Score 2 goals with your pro (Enner Valencia)
Minor: Win the match
Minor: Concede no more goals

21st June:
Argentina 1 Iran 0
You control: Iran
Scenario: It's 0-0 in the 73rd minute
Major: Win the match
Minor: Concede no more goals
Minor: Get no yellow cards
Tips: Without sounding like a broken record, switch to 4-3-3 attack, but switch to Ultra Defensive formation. In your squad, ignore positions, but instead put a player with the highest pace in the central striker position. It's difficult to sprint past Argentina players, so you'd have to vary your runs a bit by sprinting only intermittently. Utilize one-two passing (press LB when passing) to split the defence.

Germany 2 Ghana 2
You control: Germany
Scenario: Germany is 2-1 down in the 70th minute
Major: Avoid defeat
Minor: Win the match
Minor: Get no yellow cards
Tips: You start with a corner. Use the tactic called "Load the GK" (press down on d-pad to call for tactics), then swing a corner without moving the cursor at about 60-70% power. Hopefully, Miroslav Klose will be at the far post to nod one in. If you don't score from this corner, reload. Once you get this goal, switch to 4-3-3 attack, and put Thomas Muller in the central striker position. Use Muller's pace to sprint clear to score.

Nigeria 1 Bosnia 0
You control: Bosnia
Scenario: Bosnia is 1-0 down in the 65th minute
Major: Win the match
Minor: Score 2 goals with your pro (Edin Dzeko)
Minor: Win by 2
Tips: Very, very difficult challenge, as Bosnia is horrible in the game, and Dzeko is slow as ****, It doesn't help when your own players will block your path as Dzeko attempts to score. Dzeko shoots better with his left foot, so try to run into the area with him from the right, so that he has a better chance of scoring.

22nd June:
Belgium 1 Russia 0
You control: Belgium
Scenario: It's 0-0 in the 83rd minute
Major: Win the match
Minor: Concede no more goals
Minor: Get no yellow cards

Korea 2 Algeria 4
You control: Algeria
Scenario: It's 0-0 in the 25th minute
Major: Score 4 goals
Minor: Win the match
Minor: Concede no more goals
Tips: Korea is extremely defensive, and they press high up the pitch. It's likely that you'll win a ball, and then quickly lose it again because of the Koreans' relentless pressing. As usual, switch to 4-4-3 attack, and move your RW (with pace 85!) to the central striker position. Meanwhile, engage Ultra Defensive to ensure that you don't concede. From here, just keep passing the ball to the 85 pace striker, and sprint clear to score. I ended up with 5 goals, so it isn't too bad. You've plenty of time too.

USA 2 Portugal 2
You control: USA
Scenario: USA is 1-0 down in the 53rd minute
Major: Win the match
Minor: Get no yellow cards
Minor: Win by 2
Tips: If you're struggling, pass the ball to Clint Dempsey, and have him shoot in the penalty area. He's Captain America, isn't he? Jokes aside, you need 3 goals against a strong Portugal side, and Dempsey really is your best bet for goals. I moved Jermaine Jones up to a CAM position in a 4-3-3 attack (yawn!), and used his pace to get clear of defenders. I'd then pass to Dempsey, and have him work out shooting angles for chances. You may fancy using Jones for a shot, since he did score that amazing goal in real-life in this fixture.

23rd June:
Australia 0 Spain 3
You control: Spain
Scenario: It's 0-0 in the 33rd minute
Major: Score 3 goals
Minor: Win the match
Minor: Concede no more goals

Netherlands 2 Chile 0
You control: Chile
Scenario: Chile is 1-0 down in the 80th minute
Major: Win the match
Minor: Concede no more goals
Minor: Win by 2
Tips: A rather tricky one - you need to score 3 goals in very limited time to get all the objectives. Thankfully, in Alexis Sanchez and Eduardo Vargas, you have two attackers with blistering pace (88+). Make full use of their pace to run at the opponents. Both are good finishers as well. Luring a defender close by, and then bursting away with sprint towards goal should set up a couple of one-on-ones for easy finishes. I ended up scoring 5.

Cameroon 1 Brazil 4
You control: Brazil
Scenario: It's 0-0 in the 15th minute
Major: Score 2 goals
Minor: Win the match
Minor: Get no yellow cards
Tips: This is actually a Be a Pro match, in which you control Neymar. You DO NOT need to score 2 goals with Neymar. As long as your team score 2 goals, the major objective would be completed. Obviously, it's still easier to ask for the ball, and use Neymar to bang in the goods.

Croatia 1 Mexico 3
You control: Croatia
Scenario: Croatia is 2-0 down in the 75th minute
Major: Win the match
Minor: Concede no more goals
Minor: Get no yellow cards
Tips: This may be quite challenging for some, because you need to score 3 goals with a horrible Croatia team. I used Nikica Jelavic a lot, as he has reasonable pace, and a good eye for goal. I managed to score my 2nd and 3rd goal only in the 90th minute though. You need persistence, and probably a lot of luck. Again, use 4-3-3 attack for best attacking results.

24th June:
Italy 0 Uruguay 1
You control: Uruguay
Scenario: It's 0-0 in the 80th minute, Uruguay has a corner
Major: Win the match
Minor: Concede no more goals
Minor: Get no yellow cards
Tips: This is the part when Godin scored the winner in teal-life. Make full use of the corner, and restart if you don't score from it. You only need 1 goal to win this, but if you don't want to restart from a failed corner, keep passing the ball to Luis Suarez, and have him shoot. Just... try not to bite someone.

Costa Rica 0 England 0
You control: Uruguay
Scenario: It's 0-0 in the 34th minute, England has a corner
Major: Avoid defeat
Minor: Concede no more goals
Minor: Win the match
Tips: Do not be fooled by the seemingly easy objectives! This is the hardest scenario so far in the Story of Finals - EA must really hate England, because all their scenarios are difficult. This is actually a Be a Pro scenario, and you control Ben Foster, the England goalkeeper. You also need to win the game, which means scoring at least one goal with a bunch of hopeless AI. From the starting corner, press RB to push Foster up to attack, It's unlikely that you'll score from the corner, but keep Foster up there, and keep pressing A to ask for the ball. Whenever you get the chance, shoot (with Foster). Your aim is to score a goal with Foster, your goalkeeper, because you cannot rely on your AI at all. If you don't score a few minutes after staying upfront with an unguarded goal, restart. After getting the goal, go Ultra Defensive, and hope that your AI can see out the game without conceding. When under pressure, always press B to get your AI to blast the ball towards the opponent's goal - this usually leads to a goal kick, and will waste precious minutes. You can waste more time by asking for the ball while in goal, wait a bit, pass to a nearby defender, and ask for the ball again. Don't do this too often though, because this causes the opponents to press up field much more, and is likely to force silly errors by your defenders.

Japan 1 Columbia 4
You control: Japan
Scenario: It's 0-0 in the 16th minute
Major: Win the match
Minor: Concede no more goals
Minor: Get no yellow cards

Greece 2 Ivory Coast 1
You control: Greece
Scenario: It's 1-1 in the 75th minute, Greece has a corner
Major: Win the match
Minor: Win by 2
Minor: Concede no more goals
Tips: You need to score 2 goals in a short period of time with the woeful Greeks. The hardest part of this scenario is ball retention, because the Ivory Coast players are very strong physically, and are hard to win the ball against. From the starting corner, try to score a goal - it took me about 12 restarts to finally head one home, but with the goal as a cushion, the challenge became significantly easier since you only need one more to get all the objectives done. Switch to 4-3-3 attack, and switch Samaras to the central striker position. Try not to be too eager in sprinting, just intermittently running and sprinting to work out a shooting angle.

25th June:
Nigeria 2 Argentina 3
You control: Argentina
Scenario: It's 1-1 in the 45th minute, just before half-time
Major: Score 3 goals with your pro (Lionel Messi)
Minor: Win the match
Minor: Get no yellow cards
Tips: If you happen to struggle, try sprinting with Messi along the right side of the field, and then cut into the penalty area. Shoot with his left boot, and you should score most of the time - he has scored a few goals of this nature during this World Cup, and it's an almost guaranteed way to getting the 3 goals you need quickly.

Bosnia 2 Iran 1
You control: Iran
Scenario: Iran is 2-0 down in the 59th minute
Major: Win the match
Minor: Concede no more goals
Minor: Win by 2
Tips: This is extremely difficult - you need to score 4 goals with Iran! Switch to 4-3-3 attack, and Ultra Attacking. Make full use of Ghoochannejhad (good finisher) and Dejagah (good pace) when attacking. It's very difficult to sprint clear of the Bosnian defenders, so eventually I relied on passing (both through passes, and LB one-two passing) to craft out openings. If you don't get at least one goal by the 65th minute, restart. I was lucky enough to score 3 goals by the 70th minute in my winning attempt (after countless restarts), but it still took me until the 84th minute before I scored the 4th.

Ecaudor 0 France 0
You control: Ecuador
Scenario: It's 0-0 in the 53rd minute
Major: Avoid defeat
Minor: Score 2 goals
Minor: Get not more than 1 yellow card

Honduras 0 Switzerland 3
You control: Switzerland
Scenario: It's 0-0 in the 5th minute
Major: Win the match
Minor: Score 2 goals with your pro (Xherdan Shaqiri)
Minor: Score 3 goals with your pro (Xherdan Shaqiri)

26th June:
Portgual 2 Ghana 1
You control: Portgual
Scenario: It's 0-0 in the 10th minute
Major: Score 4 goals with your pro (Cristiano Ronaldo)
Minor: Win the match
Minor: Concede no more goals

USA 0 Germany 1
You control: USA
Scenario: USA is 1-0 down in the 80th minute
Major: Avoid defeat
Minor: Get no yellow cards
Minor: Concede no more goals

The achievement should unlock after completing all the above scenarios, even though there are still two more scenarios to play.
