I found the secret to this achievement! This may actually be the easiest achievement! On the map Airtime, stop before the last propellor. Inch over so you keep bouncing up. Hold a trick and continue flipping until you're at 20,000. Bail to the left on the ramp and wait until time's up. You won't lose the 20k and it will be applied to your score at the end. My video explains/shows you better!

This will be an extremely frustrating achievement for a lot of people, but bare with me, it is very possible under the right circumstances. First off, progress through the game to unlock the FMX bike, and the "Trick Master" track under "Cactus Challenge". Now, I highly suggest playing this skill game over and over again until you memorize at LEAST 8+ unique tricks. Now that we have a feeling for some of the tricks and the physics associated with FMX, it's time to go for the achievement. Getting this achievement is possible on a few tracks, but it is recommended to play the "Airtime" track under "Skill Showcase" event, as it will be the most manageable for most players.

Now, for a quick explanation of how the scoring in FMX works:
    External image

    1 - Multiplier
    2 - Unique Held Tricks
    3 - Points
    4 - Landing Bonus

All the listed things are extremely important factors when going for this achievement. The first objective is to build your multiplier. Keep in mind, significantly slowing down, crashing, getting a bad landing, or preforming "stale" tricks will bring down your multiplier. Holding a unique trick until the title becomes orange will help build your multiplier faster. It is important to make sure all your landings are perfect landings also.

Now, with all that out of the way, here's the best method for the track mentioned above, although you are free to do small variations yourself. From the start, pull a Superman + Another Move (Such as Driller, Slash, Kiss From Above, etc...) while doing a front flip. Once you land, continue with full speed and pop a wheelie down the ramp. Once you shoot off the next ramp, start rotating backwards, and pull an Underdog + Another Move (Such as Driller, Bow, Ruler) and stomp the landing. Use your brake to slow yourself down to have a smooth transition into the next ramp. While in the air hold a Coffin while preforming a front flip. On the next jump, hold a Proud Hero, again, with a perfect landing.

This should have your multiplier at around 6x-8x, with your bike headed towards the giant fan jump, which is the jump we'll be using for this achievement. Now, I've attained 20,000+ points using a variety of different moves, and you're free to alter any of the above steps, but I recommend doing a Going Up / Going to Hell / Going to Heaven + Polevault / Ruler while doing a backlip or two. Upon the perfect landing you should be able to score anywhere from 22,000 all the way to 36,000+ points, unlocking this achievement. If you come up short, just continue the track, and you'll have a few more opportunities for big air!

Rev I Robthanks maka. ive put zero time into fmx before this, didnt even practice the trick master track as you suggested, and i got it.. still took an hour or 2 though, but i was expecting it to be way way harder. i just kept doing random tricks, didnt really know what to do (i find the trick system extremely inconsistent) but just by racking up the combos and keeping the score meter in the orange mostly, i finally got myself 27000 score of a jump. Happened randomly but whatever. im glad thats over it.

Evenger OstroI don't really understand the multiplier. Get 5,000 with 1x and only 8,000 with 5x? Doesn't make much sense to me. Haven't watched any video yet, though. So just jumping around.

Deadpool 1194The trick system seems hellishly inconsistent. Despite over an hours practise I can still rarely get the trick I want, my rider will suddenly stop doing a trick only to then reattempt the same trick netting me 2 yellows or the same type rather than a unique orange. Oftentimes moving the thumbstick in a completely different direction yields the exact same trick I was already doing. Somehow by sheer dumb luck I managed to land a ~35,000 point trick (Front slash back superman proud hero I think...). Seriously watch my game clip, 35,000 or so points and then an IMMEDIATE bail. laugh I was ridiculously lucky beyond a doubt, but I blow at these tricks and still managed to get it using your method. There is hope people! I'd just like to say thanks to you and stress once again that the UNIQUE tricks are the truly important part. The runs where my guy insisted on repeating tricks I never cleared 10k a jump. The first time I managed to pull off a different trick on every ramp I nearly hit 40k. Learn the tricks better than I did guys!

If you have the season pass, or just the latest DLC pack 'Fault One Zero,' there is now a much easier way of getting this achievement.

At the end of the FMX level in Fault One Zero, you will be suspended in the air for several seconds. With a decent multiplier (I had x6), it will be incredibly easy to get the 20,000 points needed.

Thanks to user "sniffles x" for suggesting I try going for this achievement here.

C64 MatOn the 360 I did this on Airtime with a good multiplier, but knowing I hit a track afterwards that had that 'suspended' part, I came here to look for which track it is and lo and behold! You point it out for me :D +1
