You must use both left and right mouse button at the same time. The little MS guy sweeps dirt tiles that are not flagged. I guess this saves a bit of time if you know there aren't a bunch of mines there.

I've finally figured it out, hope this helps.

C JittersI got it by double clicking the numbers with the flags around them. I did not use both mouse buttons at the same time. Thanks, it really helped me!

Chording is the act of marking hazardous tiles, then clicking both mouse buttons at once on the adjacent tiles to reveal all unmarked tiles. If you failed to mark the correct tiles and you reveal a hazard/trap by chording, you will take damage from the trap. Chording is the intended way to play Minesweeper and figure out where traps are and where they aren't, so using this method is ideal and essential to reaching the later levels of the game at all without simply guessing.

After your 1,000th chording attempt, the achievement should immediately unlock.

    jh51681Touch controls:

Flags: To mark a square you suspect contains a trap, press and hold on that square until a marker appears.
Chord: If all the traps touching a number are flagged, you can tap that number to uncover the remaining adacent adjacent squares.

Swipe across the main screen and choose Help to see these instructions and more.

Ragnar2008But why hit two buttons. I'm always only hitting one?

TanukiVThe above explanation on chording with mouse is incorrect. You only need to left click on adjacent numbers where a flag has been placed or revealed by using a map. There is no need to click both mouse buttons. It does nothing on my laptop for clicking both mouse buttons.

I find touch controls (if you have one) is easier than a mouse while chording on adjacent numbers

If anyone has been having problems solving this achievement, I tried to figure out what the 2 gamers were explaining, I had youtube what Mouse Chording is..

What it means is by pressing 2 buttons or holding 2 buttons in at the same time.

So this achievement is a 2 button press although it is all about the mouse which in this achievements case is Left and Right Clickers, If you have a flag with no numbers nearby you can use the 2 clickers to do this achievement, You should see your character spin around the area of dirt, The dirt will be removed.

Note* If you have 2 or more numbers shown be careful of how you approach the area.
