To unlock this achievement you'll need the capacity for each of the following pieces of equipment:

Hearts - 5
Pickaxes - 30
Dynamite - 30
Maps - 30

Courtesy of cccuaresma1, the following are costs for some of the upgrades:

25 (Pick, Dyn, or Maps) - 65,000
30 (Pick, Dyn, or Maps) - 128,000
4 (Hearts) - 25,000
5 (Hearts) - 125,000

Shops occur every 5 levels (1, 6, 11, 16, etc.)

When these are available at the shop appears to be completely random. Therefore, when available try to purchase as you may be waiting to see it again. When you get towards the end of this achievement, you'll also see shields for sale on occasion in the upgrade slot. This is not needed for the achievement. I earned this after dying and using an amulet, so you do not need to fill your inventory after getting the last upgrade.

Around level 41, the gold amount will level out to 250, 500, and 1000 gold per item depending on it. (I went on to around level 65 and did not see these numbers rise further, so if someone reaches a different level with higher amounts, please feel free to let me know and I will edit appropriately).

*This tip works occasionally. Please read this full bullet before attempting. If you have a large surplus of gold at one point, it is possible to get a few upgrades quickly. When you die and use the amulet, you can buy an amulet and upgrade. Then, if you die quickly again, you could repeat the same process again. Obviously, this is limited strictly by how much gold you are holding, as both the upgrade and amulet costs continue to rise, but it can help get a few upgrades quickly if you have the gold currently. The success rate is not necessarily 100% for this tip. MrZombieChicken said it did not work at all, while Mario Allstar had approximately a 50% success rate for it. As Mario Allstar says, this is at your own risk, as the amulet costs will rise considerably (exponentially) and you may run out of gold before being able to get the upgrades to finish the achievement.

A couple people have had their progress reset. Unfortunately, I am unaware of a fix for this problem at this time and will post updates or solutions if people find one.

*As pointed out by RazorPriest, the cost of upgrades always continues to rise as you purchase new upgrades. Appears that my original note had missed something there or that the low cost was associated with a different upgrade at that point in time.
