This achievement will require playing a minimum of 52 games as you have to play a full season and 52 games is the shortest season length you can choose. You can use any team but a couple of strong teams are the Dodgers and Tigers if you're not sure who to pick. Whatever team you choose, I would suggest picking one that has an RBI challenge you can complete so that you can try for it while playing through the season since you eventually have to complete the challenges for 5 different teams if you're going for the full 1k.

Start a season and set the season length to 52 games and start playing games. You can check the season standings by pressing cn_X on the calendar screen. You want to make sure you either win your division or get one of the wild card spots before the end of the season. The GB and WCGB columns will tell you how far behind the other teams you are. For every game back, you have to win one game while the other team loses. For example, if you are 4 games back of the division leader, in order for you to catch them you would have to win 4 games and they would have to lose 4 games. These don't have to be in a row. You could go 8-2 over a 10-game stretch while they go 4-6 and that would still make up 4 games, for example.

When you get down toward the end of the season, it will put an X next to your team name if you have clinched a playoff spot and a Y if you have clinched your division. At this point you just need to get through the games as fast as possible to finish the season. The achievement will unlock after you finish playing game 52.

If it doesn't look like you're going to make the playoffs without winning several games in a row, you can quit out of games if you're losing and it will not save your progress in that game and you can just start the game over. You do not have to win every game to still make the playoffs, however. If you're able to win 35 out of the 52 games you should make the playoffs easily. Maybe even fewer than that depending on how well the other teams in your division play.

Note: You cannot work on any other RBI Challenges for other teams while you have an active season as you have to reset your season progress to change teams. So once you start the season you are playing for this achievement, you have to stick with it until it is done. Stats earned during the season such as HRs, RBIs, and strikeouts will still count toward those achievements.
