How to unlock the Batting 500 achievement

To do bounties you simply switch the game settings over to adventure mode (which you unlock after killing Malthael in act 5 once), and then the bounties show up on your map when you go to a waypoint. It doesn't really matter what act you choose, as you can click RB to switch to world map and change between acts as much as you want. Note that once you have unlocked adventure mode with your first character, it will be available for all others in the same "difficulty" (hardcore is separate).

Any bounty you do with any character on any level and difficulty, hardcore or not, will count towards this

If you plan on gearing up your character(s) to keep playing after you get all the achievements, you should do the act 1 bounties over and over for the ring of the royal grandeur from horadric cache (reduces set item requirements by 1 piece)!

If you don't care that much about gear, and just want the achievement as fast as possible, I suggest only doing act 4 bounties on normal difficulty (but if you get "kill diablo", you should reset in my opinion, as it gets frustrating to watch the "cutscenes" over and over). By reset I mean just press start button and quit game, then continue, and the bounties are reset.

Also, I find Demon Hunter to be the most effective for doing bounties as they have insane movement speed with vault/preparation etc, as well as good damage.

DarkevnessI finally decided to try out @Montradon advice. It worked wonders for the bosses achivement that were glitched. Kill Ghom & Kill Adria are now unlocked for me ! :)

I have no idea how I could do the same with 500 bounties though, I can hardly run an offline game with 500 bounties solo offline in a single run :s
Or even multiple runs, it would take weeks, starting from nothing again for this :(

DarkevnessFYI, I tried to run 1000 to unlock the next ingame bounty challenge....hoping the 500 bounty achievement would trigger at the sight of that.
And well, it did NOT happen. So RIP to that.

DarkevnessSo, for those who were in the same problem than me with an achievement stck at 99% even though way more than 500 bounties were made :

You CAN delete your save to start over. Here's how I did it.
Go in settings of the game and delete Save. Go OFFLINE, start Diablo and create a new character. While in game, Go ONLINE, this will save the new guy on the cloud. Quit game then combeack. A window should prompt, asking you which saves you want. Choose Local save for the new game.

WARNING : This WILL delete any previous character, progress, items, everything !

    So be sure to :
    - Seasonal : Do this when you want to start a new season, this way, the lost progress means nothing since you would anyways start back with nothing.
    - Non-Seasonal : Have a friend to lend all your build from a character, this way he can just give your build back. NOTE that only cube items will be missing (unless you had stash some spares).

Just in case, when I had 3 bounties left. I quit the game and went offline. Did the quests and unlock the in-game challenge. Waited a bit, then quit game. Then went back Online, and achievement unlocked !

Good luck to you all ;)

This is my strategy for completing bounties solo in less than a minute each. Video with commentary included at the bottom of the solution. I play on Hard difficulty (you could certainly play on Normal if it speeds up your killing ability) and I don't worry about items or experience.

You'll want to use a Demon Hunter. With Vault (Tumble) and the Tactical Advantage passive, you can move extremely quickly. And with Elemental Arrow (Frost Arrow) and Rapid Fire (High Velocity), you can absolutely tear through enemies. My setup is 100% offensive and only worries about moving quickly and dealing big damage.

The general gist is to complete bounties that are on small maps with quick objectives. I've narrowed my grind down to several bounties in Act 1, 2, and 4:

Act 1: Anything EXCEPT "clear an entire area" in the Festering Woods, the Old Ruins, the Cemetery of the Forsaken, the Weeping Hollow, any Halls of Agony level, any Cathedral level, or the Royal Crypts.

Act 2: Kill Zoltan Kulle in the Archives of Zoltan Kulle or anything in the Road to Alcarnus.

Act 4: The Gardens of Hope Tier 1 if it's kill Rakanoth or the Cursed Dais (not "kill a specific enemy- it usually takes too long) and anything in the Hell Rift level 1 (even clear the whole area- it's small and quick)

And for Bounties with a cursed shrine, don't kill all of the first wave of enemies until the timer ends so you won't have to clear all the waves.

Lil Miss CherryI just replayed the Zoltun Kulle one over and over, really quick but still really boring.

JediXCIXAppreciate this list, helped make the grind a little less of a slog. Achievement should have been tied to the in-game challenge to complete 100 bounties, not 500.

Just add a tip to make this a little faster.

After you complete a bounty, you can press cn_down to open up the local map, then press cn_RB switch to chapter map. You can now choose the required way point and travel to it directly from where you are. You don't need to return to town every time. This may save a lot of time.
