How to unlock the Dashing through the Rift achievement

This is obtained in the Nephalem Rift in Adventure mode after completing the games 5 acts. To get into the Rift you need 5 Rift keystones which are obtained by completing bounties and opening Horadric Caches. Once you have enough you go to the Obelisk in any of the 5 acts bases and activate it. Inside is the Rift which is a randomly generated dungeon. On the left side of your screen is a meter that you have to fill to 100% for the boss to appear. Once he is defeated you go back to town and talk to Orek to complete it. The achievement pops after you complete the quest and turn it in.

Playing on normal is advised since the enemies will be much weaker and easier to kill. You will want as much good gear as possible and be at least level 70. Make sure you set any ability that allows you to move fast so you can traverse the Rift quickly. Pick your fights generally looking for groups of weaker enemies instead of small groups of stronger enemies. Lastly don't bother picking up loot, just run through as fast as you can.

Hirsute DaveYou can get this on Greater Rifts too.

They even have a handy timer on screen and you don't need to worry about picking up loot because none will drop until the Guardian is dead. Of course, they are a fair bit harder to complete so you'll need to be well equipped to do it fast enough.

neeker75I got it at Level 60 with a Necromancer build. Very easy. Was done in about five. It was my first time playing the rifts, and I didn't know what to do after killing the boss (Orek didn't appear in town for me the first time I travelled back). Ended up going into the rift again, and back to town to finally see him. Must have wasted 4-5 minutes there, and achievement still popped.

Nephalem Rifts have been updated in patches since the previous solutions.

You can now open Nephalem Rifts in Adventure mode with no prerequisite, outside of getting to Adventure Mode. To access Adventure Mode, you must have completed the main game--not all quests necessarily, but you must have defeated Malthael at the end of Act V.

Once in Adventure Mode, go to any town. The location of the Nephalem Obelisk is different in each, but it's usually close by where you spawn into the world. There's a blue guy standing next to it with a conversation indicator over his head. He can open rifts for you. You do this by clicking on the Obelisk and selecting your rift.

For a normal Nephalem Rift, the portal will be yellow. The enemies will spawn at your current level. If you are properly equipped, completing a rift within 15 minutes is trivial. If you find your rift time takes longer than 15 minutes, you can turn down the difficulty. This achievement is also easily obtained when playing in multiplayer as the enemies scale with more players, but not as much as your damage potential does.

At the end of the Rift will be a boss called a Guardian. These can be tricky if you're near your maximum. They have different attack patterns at 75%, 50%, and 25% of their life pool and get progressively more dangerous. When you kill him the rift will be done, but you will need to collect your loot, get back to town and talk to Orek (the ghost guy standing next to the Nephalem Obelisk) to get your experience reward and close the Rift. That is when the Rift is considered finished in game terms. You CAN leave normal Rifts open to continue to gain experience from the monsters inside, and doing so can be useful since they spawn in higher densities than the rest of the world--but you can always just open another Rift, after a 30-second cooldown.

One of the pieces of loot the Guardian will drop, provided you're at level 70, is a Greater Rift stone. This will allow you to run a Greater Rift. Greater Rifts are like Nephalem Rifts, except the time limit is explicit. You get 15 minutes to do the same thing, but if you succeed you will earn Legendary Gems and upgrades to those Gems, a bunch more experience, and while the normal enemies don't drop ANY loot, the Guardian drops loot that is typically much higher quality. You also get to select a difficulty when starting a Greater Rift, which is a way where you can play with the difficulty settings in-game more than with the difficulty slider, which is usually best used outside of the game.

    Happy Hunting.

    Dashing through the Rift

This is a lot easier than it sounds, can be done solo or as a group all the same.

To open a Nephalem Rift you need 5 Rift Keystone Fragment's that can be obtained in by completing adventure mode bounties. Adventure mode is unlocked by completing act V in the story. To open the portal you use your 5 Fragments on any Nephalem Obelisk which are located in any town.

Once you open a Nephalem Rift you have to kill enemies until hitting 100%. The basic idea for this is kill as many enemies as fast as you can, not to kill EVERY enemy you see, but do a quick run killing groups. Don't worry 100% doesn't mean all enemies so you won't have to go backwards and search for hidden enemies.

Once you hit 100% the Rift boss will appear and you must kill him. Make a small effort and you will easily obtain this achievement. If you don't get it the first time, its ok because all you have to do is complete more bounties, get more fragments, and you can continually do rift runs.

If you are having a hard time getting this achievement you can always go to the lowest difficulty normal and make the monsters easier. If you are having troubles on normal you can always join a game of people doing rift runs from the menu and they usually do fast rift runs.
