Introduction
Getting 100% synchronisation in Bahia de Guadiana requires you to do 7 things:

1) Complete the story mission
2) Find all 6 View Points
3) Complete all 8 side missions (and achieve 100% sync in each one)
4) Find and Rescue 10 drowning sailors
5) Liberate 5 slave ships
6) Find all 6 Messages in Bottles
7) Find all 12 Treasure Chests

While doing the above it’s worth noting that:

1) Finding the View Points is the best thing to do first, as it reveals other items on the map, but note that you will have to defeat an enemy ship to ‘liberate’ the view point.
2) The 8 side missions all have 3 objectives to meet in order to achieve 100% sync, but you don’t have to fulfil all 3 objectives in one go – you can knock them off in separate playthroughs of the mission.
3) Treasure Maps will only reveal themselves on the map through you defeating other enemy ships in the area. So don’t be shy, get into conflict and take on as many Red Ships as you can.
4) There are Perks that can help you with each of the things you need to do to achieve 100% in an area and these will be referenced in the guide below. You can change your perks by clicking on the Abtergo’ logo in the top right of the screen and then selecting ‘Perks’.
5) Not all perks are available at the start and some will only become available as you level up. To get perks you must recruit crew members from the ‘Tavern’. The ‘Lookouts’ and ‘Scavenger’ members of the crew tend to provide the best perks in the game.
6) The game has a colour coded system for mission icons to show you whether or not they are 100% sync’d. If a mission icon is gold with a white symbol it is 100% complete.

About Bahia de Guadiana
Scorpion Reed is the third area on the game Map and has many big open areas with big expanses of water down the centre of the map and clusters of small islands on the left and right. There are gun boats here and there and a lot more Schooner than were present on Scorpion Reef. You'll also encounters some Briggs too.

1) Complete the Story Mission
To find the story mission simply navigation to the Yellow icon that has a black exclamation mark in it. Typically the story missions take 5 to 15 minutes to complete and it’s worth noting that if you quit out halfway through a story mission you will likely be put back to the start when you next load up the game. There are no special ‘sync’ requirements in story missions, so you can approach completing them in whatever manner best suits your play style.

2) Find All View Points
There are marked on your map by an Eagle Symbol (very similar the main AC games) and are small lighthouses that are guarded by an enemy ship. You will need to navigation to the Eagle symbol and defeat the enemy ship. A small cut scene will play, the lighthouse will unlock and side missions and other activities in the nearby area will be revealed on the map.

3) Complete all 8 Side Missions
There are 3 types of side mission: Races (represented by a Boat symbol), Assassinations (represented by a Skull symbol) and Mysteries (represented by a Question Mark).

RACES
Useful Boosts: Boost, Iron Sails.
Best Boat: The Wanderer – with fully upgraded speed.

These require you to speed through a series of checkpoints before the time runs out and will have 3 ‘100% sync’ requirements. Typically these will be: Finish the race with 13 seconds to spare, Finish the race without taking any damage and Finish the Race without using any boosts.

A good approach here is to equip the ‘Boost’ perk and do the race using ‘Boost’ as many times as you can. You’re goal is to finish the face as quickly as possible, and with more than 13 seconds to spare. You will then mark off that ‘sync’ requirement. Now select the mission and play it again, but this time don’t use boost. You’ll get a slow time, but you’ll also get the ‘no boost’ sync requirement ticked off. The only other consideration is to make sure that you take no damage on one of those runs. That’ll then be all 3 sync requirements met and 100% complete.

ASSASSINATIONS
Useful Boosts: Discretion, Wind Down, Intimidate

These require you to stealth your way through an area to reach a specific enemy ship and destroy it. The stealth will take a lot of trial error, but you just need to watch the movement patterns of the ships and then plot your course accordingly. The ‘Discretion’ perk make sit take longer for enemy ships to notice you and so is very useful for this type of mission. The ‘Intimidation’ perks give you a chance to reset the enemy ships cooldown meter, making it take longer for them to be able to fire at you. Like Races, Assassinations have 3 sync requirements, which will typically be to 1) take no damage, 2) complete the assassination within a certain time and 3) do no get spotted. Once again, you do not have to complete all 3 actions in one play, so you can concentrate on one at a time during multiple playthroughs.

MYSTERIES
Useful Boosts: Boost, Speed Boost, Intimidate

These missions see you meet up with a mysterious monk, who will ask you to go to a certain point on the map, defeat a ship and retrieve some treasure. You must do this during a time limit and there will often be 2 sync requirements: 1) No damage, 2) completing the mission within a certain time period. The above mentioned boosts will help as will a few practice runs to find the quickest paths.

4) Find and Rescue 10 Drowning Sailors
Useful Perks: Dynamic Events and Stay Alive

This is a dynamic event that will happen while you are exploring the Bahia de Guadiana. Periodically a yellow circle will appear on the map and within it will be a symbol showing a drowning map. You must navigate here as quickly as possible, find the drowning sailor and get close enough for a button prompt (typically 60 meters) – you will then need to tap the screen where indicated to rescues the sailor. The ‘Dynamic Events’ perk makes these kinds of events happen more frequently while the ‘Stay Alive’ perk gives you longer to rescue the sailor. These events can pop up whether you are in Map view or Immersive view, although it’s worth noting that they seem to occur most often while in big, open water areas.

5) Find and Liberate 5 Slave Ships
Useful Perks: Dynamic Events

This is a dynamic event that will happen while you are exploring Bahia de Guadiana. Periodically a yellow circle will appear on the map and within it will be a symbol showing a pair of shackles. You need to navigate there as quickly as possible and then steer close to the actual slave ship itself. You will then be prompted to tap the screen and will enter a battle-like mini game with the ship. Except your focus is not destroying the ship, but rather incapacitating it by shooting a set of green targets with your swivel gun.

The slaves can then jump overboard and escape. When they do so you will need to rescue them from the water be steering near them and tapping where prompted. The ‘Dynamic Events’ perks makes the slave ships appear more often.

6) Find all 6 Messages in Bottles
Useful Perks: File Seeker

These do not show up in the main map and are only viewable on the small mini map while you are in the Immersive view. They are small bottles floating on the water, typically near a land mass or island and they will appear on your mini map as and when you get close to them. You will than have to use the mini-map to guide your ship to the right area and then tap on the bottle to collect it. If you struggle there is a perk called ‘File Seeker’ which makes the bottles show up on screen from further away.

7) Find all 12 Treasure Chests
Useful Perks: Treasure Bounty

When you defeat enemy ships in the area they sometimes leave loot behind, floating on the service of the water. You can tap on this loot to bring it aboard your ship. Randomly, the loot will sometimes contain a treasure map. Opening this map will put a yellow circle someone on the main map. You will need to navigate to that circle, where you will be prompted to tap on a small ‘Telescope’ icon.

You will now automatically be taken to a view through a telescope and most rotate around the environment looking for the treasure chest, which will be sat hidden somewhere nearby. Once you find it, simply tap on the treasure chest to open it. The ‘Treasure Bounty’ perk is near essential to get this done quickly as it increases the likelihood of loot containing the required treasure maps.

Monitoring Your Progress
To see how you’re progressing toward your 100% sync you can click on the ‘Abstergo’ logo in the top right hand corner of the screen, then click on Alfonso’s face in the top left hand corner of the screen.
