You can do this on Last Light -> Torchlight. A few minutes into the level, you pole vault on top of a railroad car and here you're attacked by spiders. Just ignore them, and run to Pavel. After this you "Tarzan swing" onto the ground and Pavel runs further up the line. Don't follow him too far. Rather, stay back, turn around to face Pavel but keep your distance. Now use your light (LB, Y) against the spiders as they constantly stream at you. Basically, the spiders infinitely spawn and you get the required 10 spiders in about 5 mins!

If you hear Pavel say "Were safe", and the cheev has not popped then restart the checkpoint, because no more spiders will turn up until later.
