  Near the end of the game in the "Church" level, you can buy this gun. The next mission "Darkstar" is a good place to grind the kills with this weapon. Just make sure it's not the weapon you are holding when you get into the truck at the end of "Church" because it will be replaced with the flamethrower when "Darkstar" starts. When the train stops and you get the flame thrower, just switch to the Hellbreath and kill the mutants that jump on the back of the train with it. I reloaded my checkpoint once when the anomaly showed up and got enough kills for the achievement.

  Thanks for the tip with the flamethrower. I kept forgetting which weapon is replaced by it. Thanks for clearing that up.

  The earliest place you can buy it is at the Armory level I believe. Using it on Front Line and the subsequent levels is another good place to get kills. This is also a good gun to get longshot headshots with (Marksman Achievement) and Front Line is a good level to work on those.

  The best spot to knock out these kills is during the Dark Star mission. However, you need to make sure you grab this weapon for free during the previous mission, the Church. Make sure to exchange one of your weapons on the left or right (not the middle one, because it is swapped out for the flame thrower during this checkpoint, although you can get it back afterward and use a later checkpoint to farm your kills if you accidentally forget and put the Hellbreath in the middle weapon slot).
