The game doesn't seem to keep track of your progress towards this achievement at all. I played this game (at roughly the same time) everyday for 8-9 days straight and yet in the main menu, it had my record (of consecutive days played) at 2.

Note: You may have noticed that there is a paragraph underneath the "Workout" tile on the main menu on DC:S. The topic of the paragraph cycles through 5-10 options...and your record for consecutive days played is one of the paragraphs.

Unfortunately, the only semi-reliable way of having the game keep track of your progress is to do it all offline and in one session. With that said, here is how you do that (note that I can't guarantee that this will work for everyone):

What you have to do is go into your console's settings (under "Network") and set it to "go offline". Then you have to do a hard reset of your XB1 so that when it boots up it is still offline.

After that, you can start changing the system date. The system date can be found in the console's settings (under "System"); like with the Xbox 360, it can't be changed if you are online. Then you boot up DC:S and dance 1 full song, go back to the main menu and then exit game. Change your XB1's system date another song and so on and so on.

After you've done this seven times, for seven consecutive days (it'll say your record is 7 days in the game's main menu), go back into your XB1's network settings and connect to XBL again.

For me, the achievement popped after I booted up DC:S (with a 7 day streak) and opened the XB1 achievement app. The date stamp for the achievement will be the current date, regardless of what dates you chose for the 7-day streak.

Again, although I can't guarantee that it'll work for everyone, hopefully this helps people out. At least, however, it will improve your chances and will prevent you from having to start the 7 days over from scratch.
