  First you need to craft a Crafting Table which will also get you the achievement Benchmaking. After that get 2 wooden planks and one stick then go to tools and weapons to the sword and get your achievement.

  I did it by using diamonds and a stick

  For this achievement you'll need 2 wooden planks and 1 stick to craft a wooden sword. Wooden planks and sticks can be crafted from blocks of wood from trees. You'll also need a workbench to craft it on.

  I actually didnt get the achievement until I made a stone sword...

  Difficulty: Easy
  Requirements: 2 wooden planks, 1 wooden stick and a crafting table
  What to do: You should already have a crafting table some wooden planks. Create wooden sticks from 2 wooden planks. Then create a sword by using the crafting table. You will need 2 wooden planks and 1 stick for a sword.
