Edit: I have added videos from the official Age of Empires: Castle Siege YouTube channel. These are not my videos and may have a different strategy than I originally detailed.

The Historical Campaign unlocks missions as you level up your Keep. You will need to get your Keep to 4th Age to unlock enough missions to complete this achievement.

The first mission is Thessalonica unlocks when you reach the 2nd Age, this mission is straightforward and should give you no trouble. The second mission is Aleppo and unlocks when you reach the 3rd Age. The 4th Age unlocks 3 additional missions, Dorostolon, Constantinople, and Kenilworth. I will detail the strategies I used for each mission below.

The structure of the missions that you are given a set of troops, these troops have nothing to do with your upgrades and unlocks. They are set for each mission and don’t change. The goal of the mission is to destroy the enemy Keep. Nothing else matters, you are welcome to destroy as much as you want but nothing except the Keep is required.

Thessalonica: I don’t remember the setup of this mission except that I breezed thru it before I understood the game or how these missions worked so you shouldn’t have any trouble.

Aleppo: the troops you are given are 5 spearman, 5 infantry, 4 crossbowmen, and 1 battering ram. The keep is surrounded by walls and 4 arrow towers, there are an additional 3 arrow towers near that are surrounded by walls. To the top ad left there is another area surrounded by walls with 1 arrow tower. There are also numerous patrols. The first thing I spawned was the battering ram on the top left near the single arrow tower. I directed it to attack the wall near the tower then spawned all of my crossbowmen. I lost the battering ram before the tower went down but the crossbowmen took it down shortly after. I then used the crossbowmen to attack the enemies on the wall. The crossbow men then destroyed the wall unmolested. Once the wall was destroyed I immediately retreated to outside the wall to pull the patrols away from the arrow towers. Then I spawned all of my infantry and spearman. Not all of the patrols will come out so you may have to bring a guy in and retreat to pull them out. Once the patrols are dead send everything in and take out the 2 arrow towers at the front of the keep and then send everything at the keep. The reward for this mission is 5000 wood, 5000 food and 3000 stone.

Dorostolon: *I recommend using the video for this one. Their solution is much more fool proof and doesn't require as precise timing.* the troops you are given are 4 infantry, 3 crossbowmen, 6 ladder invaders, and 1 hero. This hero’s ability includes the same as the ladder invader and a special ability to “bomb” towers. The base you are attacking includes the keep completely surrounded by walls, there is a catapult tower in the same area as the keep. There are 2 arrow towers and a catapult tower behind the Keep in a walled area and 2 arrow towers out sides the walls on the front left. There are multiple patrols around as well. The key to this one is to take out the catapult towers as well as the arrow towers in the front and attack the Keep from an area so the arrow towers in the back can’t hit you. Start by deploying 4 ladder invaders in the back to take out the catapult tower. Then deploy all 4 infantry to the left most tower, immediately deploy the crossbowmen to flank the nearby patrol. Then deploy the remaining 2 ladder invaders as well as the hero in between then 2 front arrow towers, they will climb the wall and take out the catapult tower. Once that tower is down use the hero special ability on the other front arrow tower and send any remaining forces to attack the same tower. When that was down I had crossbowmen and my hero left. I sent my hero to attack the Keep. I positioned him on the far left such that the back towers couldn’t reach him and only the Keep was hitting him. I only had one soldier left when I destroyed the Keep. The rewards for this mission is 3000 wood and 3000 food.

Constantinople: the troops you are given are 8 infantry, 4 ladder invaders, and 7 crossbowmen. The keep is in the center of the base surrounded by multiple arrow towers, crossbow towers and guard houses. The keep is not completely surrounded, there is path to it but it is a gauntlet of towers and patrols. *mission specifics still to come *
The reward for this missions is 4000 wood, 4000 food and 2500 stone.

Kenilworth: the troops you are given are 4 longbow men, 1 battering ram, 7 heavy infantry and 1 hero. The hero is cavalry based and has the same special ability to destroy a tower quickly. The keep is located in the center of two rings of walls. On its top left side there is multiple towers with 1 guard house. The bottom right has 6 guard house with fewer towers. All of the walls are stone. This was straightforward, just spawn all of your units outside the gates to the lower right. Wait for the patrols to come out and kill them outside of the range of the archer towers. Then throw everything at the gates and eventually the Keep. Ignore everything else and make sure to keep you troops directed at the gates and Keep and it will fall in no time. The reward for this mission is 7000 wood, 700 food and 3500 stone.

I have not completed the Constantinople mission yet. Once I do I will update the solution. Please comment and let me know if there is anything I should correct or if you have an alternative solution to any of the missions and I will update the solution.
