How to unlock the Cursed Gold achievement

    Because the original DLC achievements got lumped together, in case of confusion, these stat awards only count inside the Nightmare in North Point mode. Conversely, getting gold medals here will not count for the Strike Gold or Gold Rush achievements.

    VAMPIRE HUNTER - Defeat 200 Jiang Shi.
    Jiang Shi are the floating hopping enemies. Car kills do not counter, you must defeat them in melee. After completing the main story and secondary missions, drive around and stop whenever you see a red marker near the road. It'll either be Jiang Shi or a Peachwood Sword, which will help with a different award.

    DEMON HUNTER - Defeat 20 Yaoguai.
    There are two options for defeating Yaoguai - at full Face/Magic Tea, you can defeat them in melee, or you can stab them with a Peachwood Sword. Always choose the Peachwood Sword.

    DEMONIC EXORCISM - Defeat 15 Yaoguai with a Peachwood Sword.
    There are two ways to get a sword. The first is to do a blue Jiang Shi side mission, which spawns a sword after the fact. Alternatively, when driving around, a red marker can mean either Jiang Shi or a Peachwood Sword. If it's the latter, a Yaoguai will immediately spawn. If you have a purple portal side missions that involve defeating Yaoguai, take the sword with you; otherwise, the only way to spawn Yaoguai is to grab the sword in the first place. Limit your kills to only Yaoguai; if you face a group of Jiang Shi, drop the sword by holding cn_down, then pick it back up when you're done.

    HARD TO GET - Avoid 100 Jiang Shi bites.
    Find a group of Jiang Shi and defeat all but one. Grapple with cn_B and do nothing else. When it breaks free, it'll immediately go for the bite; counter with cn_Y to avoid the bite. You can continue this indefinitely until you end up countering with a maxed out Face counter, which will instantly defeat it. I found I could get 12-15 counters out of a single Jiang Shi.

    UNDERWORLD OFFERINGS - Find 10 Hell Money Shrines.
    This is its own achievement, and there is a map available.

    masterelliot994I reloaded the final battle a number of times to get these knocked out. You will encounter two Yao Guai in the third phase that can be killed with one of the two swords that spawn in. You will also have an infinite number of Jiang Shi spawning in the first and second phases as long as you don't close the portals.

    This is the absolute FASTEST way to get DEMONIC EXORCISM and DEMON HUNTER done in less then 15 minutes, I take NO credit for this, the credit belongs to pukem0nn, who posted this idea in the comments of another Cursed Gold solution..............

    From your apartment, go left, and and then go right until you reach the back entrance stairs to the Night Market, you will see a Peachwood Sword up the stairs.......

    Grab the sword, and as soon as the Yaoguai pops up, SAVE YOUR GAME!!!

    After you kill the Yaoguai, wait a second for it to register your kill then.......

    Press cn_start to reload the game you just saved

    You'll end up back in your apartment, then its just a matter of the old "rinse and repeat" routine...........

    Please, if you feel the need to down vote please tell me why, IT DOES WORK!! If it doesn't work for you, I'm sorry, but you must not be doing something right......

    The Nerds Club@DAMIEN666777 Actually it does still work it's just the sword isn't always there or maybe you need to do a certain story mission for it to show up I did the first 2 story missions & it wasn't there i did a few more now it's there.

    deutschZuidStill works in 2022. This works with any sword. I already completed the one in front of my apartment before I saw this solution, so I used the one in front of the western entrance of the night market instead. Slightly longer jog, but done within 10 minutes.

    There is an easier way to find the Yaoguai. In the mission where you are in the Bam Bam club, you will fight some vampires at first. After they are dealt with, a peach sword drops. Take it to the toilet, drop it. Fight the guys in the toilet, take the sword with you after you beat them. You go upstairs, where those jumping vampires and a Yaoguai appear. A short movie will play. Kill the demon, restart checkpoint. If done right, you have A. the sword in your possession, B. can kill the demon over and over until you get both stats filled in until you get those gold. It will save you the searching and bitching for demons in the long run.
