You need a whopping 400 Moonstones for this achievement.

Possible Spoilers ahead.

Tips to farming moonstones

A great method to getting moonstones is the Infinite Scav spawn method. To do this you must have the story mission "Let's Build A Robot Army" and be up to the part when you let the turrets kill the scavs. You can also get lots of loot, money, and xp this way. Kill as many scavs as you can while picking up moonstones and save and quit before the turrets reach 12 kills. Upon reloading the game the counter will be reset and you can do it again. I usually jump-smash in front of the door with a cryo oz kit (I also got the Ice to Meet You achievement this way).

Other methods:
-There is a side house in Stanton's Liver that is blocked by electricity with lots of crates/lockers. If you can get access to it (jump-slam the hatch with green lights above silo 6), check all the containers for moonstones.
-A very simple and easy route for beginners is to check all lockers/containers in the Meriff's Office. Once you cleared the area, save & quit and run the place again.
-There is a secret boss in Serenity's Waste called Iwajira that you can kill for lots of loot and moonstones. Beware, you must be at least around level 30 if you want to fight it. Videos of this boss are on youtube.

Other tips:
-Badass enemies drop moonstones and moonstone clusters quite frequently. If you kill one make sure to examine all the loot they drop.
-Double check the area and every green rarity beam after a fight to make sure you don't pass up any moonstones. You might mistake the colour of a moonstone for green loot.
-Check every locker/barrel/crate/etc. you come across. You'd be surprised how many moonstones you'll acquire by searching containers. Every little bit counts.
-There are some side missions that can give moonstones as a reward.

The achievement
There is a moonstone chest in the Titan Robot Production Plant in the area right across from where you spawn the Scavs infinitely. Make a left instead of a right to the Scav area.

On the final chest you can dashboard and save yourself 40 moonstones after your achievement pops.
