During level 2, you will be required to defend Schlos Base. In the last section of the level, following a cutscene showing a cruise missile hitting the base, intergalactic cruise missiles will begin to warp in, and you will have a sub-objective to destroy each of those missiles.

During this section, a total of 8 cruise missiles will warp in: the two at the beginning of the section, followed by a single missile, then two more, and finally, a group of three. Note that there are actually three cruise missiles at the beginning of the section; however, one of the first set almost immediately hits a Terran ship and both are destroyed. You do not need to destroy that first missile to complete this sub-objective, as it will not hit Schlos Base.

To shoot the missiles down, you'll want to use your anti-ship guns and target/aim for the tip or sides of the missiles. To give yourself time and a margin of error for misses, you'll want to go for them as soon as they appear. (They will be announced by in-game dialogue, as well as having the red objective marker appear.) Do whatever it takes to get to them fast, such as using your boost (double-tap RT then hold RT). If you run out of anti-ship weapons, use your nose gun (or railgun/glaive if you have one).

This can be done on your first playthrough, but if you want to do this with no problems at all, try on your second playthrough using the Cauldron 50s, as they are one-shot kills on the missiles (on easy), or use the more powerful targeted anti-ship weapons you get later in the game. If you're having trouble with ammo, make sure you bring a railgun or glaive weapon, but you should have plenty of time to return to the Tanker (marked "TA" in blue) to rearm (get close and press BACK when prompted) between waves of missiles.

This has to be done in campaign mode, and the achievement will pop in the usual manner (after the debriefing).
