I got this achievement after trying several methods of destroying large quantities of items. I had the Challenge snapped* so I could watch my progress and see how the different methods stacked up against each other.

At first, I thought doing a single Endurance race would be good because you're basically running around a track running into things and knocking things over or shooting them. Problem is, the breakables don't respawn. and after you go around once or twice there's not enough breakables to be worth your time. I tried a few of the first Endurance events in the beginner/intermediate Cups.

Then, I thought I'd try an Eliminator race, which had about the same results, although a bit less because the tracks I played simply didn't have as many breakables.

Same story with Slaughter. I tried a few different maps but nothing respawns (frequently, anyway) so you ended up having to restart a lot, which is kind of a waste of time, and also I always feel a little unsure about whether I'm getting due credit when I restart.

Finally, I thought of the Tank, and in one of the tank levels (Mission 18, Thunder Horse), you have to go around in the suburbs and blow up some zombie generators. The zombies don't count, obviously, but everything else does. I found that I could get a good 10-15% of the Challenge progress bar every time I restarted/ended the level. I think each time I went through the level it was about 15-20 minutes.

The strategy I used was to start driving over every breakable in sight on the way to the Suburbs, and then using the cannon to blow anything up that was out of reach of the tank treads. Cars explode and cause chain reactions, and anything that wasn't a fence I tended to only drive over if it was on the way to something. The key here is the fences in the suburbs. There are fences everywhere, and even though you don't break more than one or two a second, it's consistent. Plus you can blow up parked cars every so often for a little boost.

The most efficient way I found was to start driving around the streets and looking for long strips of fence (the kind you can break, not the bigger green kind that stops vehicles (apparently even tanks). I drove over one line and curved around trying to plan ahead to come back to do a cross on the way back, or in other words, with a set of fences that were a square and divided with a cross in the middle, I drove up the middle vertically, hung a left, curved around, went through the cross horizontally, and then curved around to get the external bits I didn't get the first time around.

Then there are also lots of places around the edge of the burbs that just have really long lines of fences that go on for a long way, which are easier.

Not saying this is the fastest way to do it, just saying this is how I did it. :)
