In order to activate a special move, you must fill up your meter and press dive & kick at the same time when it is filled up enough. You want to avoid doing this. Winning is still very possible as special moves aren't very important in this game. If you wanna boost this, have a friend put the YOLO gem on. Beat them and you'll unlock this.
