How to unlock the Go Ape Shiv achievement

    Very simple, shoot some bullets at the Brute until it becomes enraged and starts running, then kill him with an Energy Sword. The achievement is really easy especially at low difficulty but if you have any question please comment below.

    EDIT: It seems that they become enraged mainly when they remain the last survivor of the group. I think the easiest place to achieve this is at the beginning of the mission "Uprising", where after few steps from the start you will find an Energy Sword and various groups of Brutes.

    PhillyCh3zSt3akI concur. This is the easiest and fastest way to do it intentionally (ie not just playing and it happened to pop while playing).

    Ape Shiv - This can be done on Easy, which is suggested given the nature of these Brutes to take you out quickly on higher difficulties. If you’re feeling squirrely, do it on Legendary. Load up Gravemind. The Brutes come in pairs, and when one partner dies the other enrages. Kill one, allowing the other to enrage, and punch the enraged one to death for the achievement. The video below shows this in action.

    Halo: The Master Chief Collection - Halo 2 - Go Ape Shiv - Halo 2: Kill an enraged, berserk Brute using melee. This achievement is fairly easy to unlock.

    On any mission where there are brutes, when one of them drops their weapon and starts charging you.

    Melee it till it is dead and your achievement should pop! Enjoy!
