How to unlock the Librarian's Pet achievement

    This achievement requires you to get 25,000 points on the level Reclaimer.

    I was able to obtain 71,244 points on Heroic while using the following skulls:

    Famine
    Catch
    Fog
    Tough Luck

    Strategy:
    Vehicles will be your best friend in this mission along with all the weapon ammo you have access to in the mammoth.

    During the first sections destroy the covenant forces along the left side of the map near the beginning, then as you make it towards the crash site make sure to have a warthog with spartans/marines ready to help destroy covenant forces/vehicles then recover the designator to progress through the mission.

    You can use the rocket turrets on the mammoth as often as you like but be warned they will blow up if they sustain too much damage. I also recommend using the warthog/gauss hog/scorpion tank when available to help increase kill potential and gain points fast.

    The middle section of the mission will pit you against some wraiths/ghosts and destroying a covenant lich. Using the gauss hog in this section is the most effective tool to wipe out the covenant artillery.

    Your last encounters will involve going through the sniper valley where you'll encounter lots of covenant and jackal snipers alongside promethean knights, afterwards you'll be thrown into outdoor combat using a scorpion tank to destroy wraiths/ghosts before you finish the level. These ares are big point getters so do your best to rack up those multikill medals/streaks.

    (One other thing to note that after 40 minutes of game time you will not earn any points for kills toward your score).

    Tips:
    I would advise not trying to run through the levels and worry about the par time but instead make sure you have a comfortable cushion of points then after such time speedrun the rest of the missions so you can hold on to the minimum point values required to earn the achievement. Headshot/Multikill/Spree/Stick/Supercombine and EMP medals are great in boosting your point totals. Blowing up all vehicles will also give you more points, but only do so if time permits.

    OhMyGoth1I would recommend playing on Legendary.
    I am terrible at this game, but I slogged through, finished in over an hour for no time bonus and died 25-30 times. Still finished with 28k points.

    @OhMyGoth1 thats a terrible recommendation.

    You can easily accomplish this on Normal with the the suggested Skulls above. Hell add Iron if you want. All you need to do is save and quit when you die and resume to go back to the last checkpoint. I finished at 40 mins with a score of 42,944. I had around 60k after the Lich blew up.

    Got over 66k points just by playing the level on Legendary.
    Died 3 times and got no time bonus.
    This means you should be able to get the required 25k just by going through the level on Heroic.
    With my score, you would have to finish with a 1.52x time bonus on normal, so you could take over par time and get it on Normal, but I dunno how easy the par time is on this level.
    A few tips
    I'm not sure how many points phantoms give but during the Mammoth ride I sat on one of the rocket pods and blew up a few phantoms. I also shot at any I could once I had the tank.
    When the 'unidentified covenant vessel' attacks the Mammoth, make sure you grab the Gauss Hog that is parked by the cliff to take out the Ghosts and Wraiths easier.
    I'd advise grabbing a rocket launcher from the mammoth when you get to the point where it stops and you have to leave it. Save the Rockets for Knights. It would 1HKO them even on Legendary.

    PHARREAL87 - Achievement wouldn't unlock with required score unless played on Legendary. So if you have issues, on lower difficulties, try it on Legendary.

    I played on Legendary with no skulls and finished with 64k: I received the achievement.

    If the game won't let you get this achievement on normal or heroic, try legendary.
