The par score for Crow's Nest can be obtained on Normal difficulty with several easy skulls activated. The par time for this level is 20 minutes. If you know where you're going, you can hit par time and get a 3.00x multiplier that will boost you past 25,000 score.

You'll want to run through the level with your trusty BR and plasma pistol combo. Use the pistols charged shot to take off brute armor and switch to the BR to pop them in the head.

You should run with the competitive score setting so you can track your time and score as you play.

Getting kills without dying builds up your killstreak and earns you more points. Multikills also give you slightly more points.

    SKULLS:

Famine - Weapons dropped by AI have half ammo. Be sure to replace your plasma pistol often.

Fog - No motion tracker. Not a very open level, so you won't need this anyway.

Iron - Dying restarts the level. You can always save, quit, and resume to continue with points intact if you do die, but your time will add up. Doing this will also reset your killstreak, meaning you'll get less points per kill until you build it back up again!

Tough Luck - Enemies dodge more, brutes are enraged often. They'll dodge grenades but you'll get easy melee kills on berserk brutes.

    TIPS:

You can start heading to your objective right away when the level starts.
Use stationary turrets in the hangar bay to take out the phantoms' turrets asap, then use it to kill the enemies it drops off.
Break the turret off the stand and carry it to the room where a swarm of drones attack. You run a bit faster with a turret if you walk diagonally. You'll massacre the bugs with it.
Anytime you have marines with you, they may rob you of kills and thus points. Be quick about those headshots!
You can kill pretty much everything and still hit par time as long as you're quick and thorough.
I was able to finish under par time with 30,000 and managed to kill almost everything, so you have a bit of room to make mistakes.

Unfortunately, the par score achievements in this game be can stubborn about unlocking. Personally, I had to play through the final level several times for the achievement to unlock. You may want to wait for a patch if you don't feel like testing your luck.

Wicked JeiCould've been that marines were taking kills on your first run.

SchiZoPHreNiikzThat could be it, but I don't think it is the full reason. I've noticed one big thing that you haven't accounted for (unless I'm just seeing some strange causation and correlation stuff). When using the iron skull save and quit method, all is good and dandy on not having to restart and stuff, but it ends your killstreak, which takes away a good chunk of points per kill. On my first run, I died once during jet-packing brute battle after the first elevator. In the battle, I was getting 166 points per kill before I died, and after I saved and quit, I was getting 135 points per kill.
Long story short, the iron skull is a good back-up, but do not rely on it to carry yourself through the mission. Still try to play cautiously and not die.

Wicked JeiHoly shit, I completely overlooked that. Now I've got to go and edit all my guides. Damnit, lol.

    SchiZoPHreNiikzCredit me please! :)

Other than that one "little" overlook, your guides have been very helpful thus far.

Wicked JeiWell, I mean I noticed it in-game, I just forgot to mention it in the guides. Most levels I die a few times and I'm still able to get par score, but this one was on normal so I don't think I died and I must've built up a good killstreak. I'll credit you for the suggestion in Better With Age since that includes links to all the other guides.

Shadow 00 FoxI was able to 35,358 2nd try in 18:30, with two controllers.. make sure you DON"T have the TILT skull on, otherwise the phantom turrets are invincible to the turrets! That was the ill-fated first try. LOL. Some very easy tips I found, go with dual wielding plasma rifles against the brutes if you can--takes them down extremely fast! And, bring a plasma turret into the final control room area ... and last fun tip, make sure to grab the Chieftains fuel rod gun, and use it on the drone and grunt swarm--I have no idea how many points I got in about 3 seconds there, but it was totally worth it... and hilarious. laugh Great guide!

metallicafan459So it seems the turret in the room with the swarm of drones is no longer there?

The target score is only 19,000 now but I still failed :( I did disable Iron though as first few tries the Hammer dude nailed me :(

Not sure if the skulls are glitched though as when I did turn all 4 on it said x1.89 multiplier.....

LimberCurve605When you go turn on the bomb, you can skip the brute with the fuel rod launcher by going invisable for that room

Captain PhysicsAlso adding that since there are no vehicles in this level, the Jacked skull is free points.

vHucsNormal = Iron, Fog, Jacked (unless you want turrets), Famine, Masterblaster. 27k in 17min. Didn't need Jacked and Famine probably.
